The whole beachfront’s a beauty, but one of our favorite spots is on the northern side of the sandy peninsula: Footbridge Beach. This typically quieter alternative to Ogunquit Beach proper is so named because you reach it by—you guessed it—a charming plank bridge over the brackish Ogunquit River. There’s a little concession stand at Footbridge Beach as well as public restrooms; the more developed main beach also has refreshments available (including an onsite restaurants), plus beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and floats for rent. Perkins Cove - Be sure to visit colorful and charming Perkins Cove. You can watch the lobster boats come in and maybe pick up today’s catch for dinner or dine one of the many restaurants nestled along this tiny harbor. We were expecting a nice clean well supplied condo. By the pictures and the description you would have thought it would be impeccably clean and well stocked with dishes, soap bedding . . . There were 3 wine glasses, 4 coffee cups random sized plates. The dishes still had price stickers on the bottom untouch which means they hadn't even cleaned them before they put them up. THe shower curtain on the inside of the tub was pink with old mildew. They left 2 towels only and now washer or dryer to refresh on our 4 day stay. EEww there was long black hair in the shower on the walls. I have very short grey hair and so does my husband. It was also really really dark even in the middle of the day. Soooo depressing. All in all the best part was the location on the marsh. We loved getting out of the horrible condo and looking out over the marsh. It was not what they promised this condo would be. I'm very disappointed. Oh and when I told the property manager the issues. She wrote back and said "sorry you think it's dark." I don't think it's dark it is dark and what about the mildew shower curtain I had to shower with for 4 days. Summing it up "Gross"
