The gorgeous upper-level great room has a soaring, golden beam-and-plank vaulted ceiling with a double set of windows for ocean views through beautiful shore pines. Lots of comfy seating, a wall-mounted TV, a wood stove, and access to the deck make this room extra inviting. A large dining table and extra seats at the breakfast bar mean you can accommodate all your guests for meals together. The kitchen has lots of updated counter space, so there’s no excuse not to have helpers with meal prep. One queen bedroom on this level has access to the deck; another has its own bath; the third has an extra twin bunk, perfect for a family to stay together.
The lower level has its own living space, a big open room with a wall of windows to the sea, a TV, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Supplemented by three bedrooms, one with its own bath and one with its own deck, this floor has all a family needs for a completely separate living space. A patio out the back door has a picnic table, and a path through beach grass will take you to the surf in minutes. You’ll find miles of level sand, views of Twin Rocks, and plenty of sea and sand. Overall, we had an excellent stay and vacation. Being right on the beach was priceless, and the home is quite spacious and easily hosted our large family. The house was as described, clean, fully functional and well supplied kitchen. We were able to walk into town for ice cream, food, and to the train station to ride from Rockaway Beach to Garibaldi. We had some trouble checking in, and with WiFi, as we were initially provided the incorrect door codes and password, but luckily communication with the host was quick and easy and we were able to sort it out without much issue or delay. I will say the furniture could use updating. Several of the recliners are lop-sided, old, and/or outright broken (mainly downstairs).Important notes:1. The upstairs and downstairs are not connected. You must exit the house to go upstairs/downstairs, although we did not find this to be an issue at all. 2. There are check-out instructions, but only on the base/ground floor! We were a bit late checking out as most of our stay was spent upstairs, but when we were performing our final sweep, we noticed the check-out instructions on the ground floor and had to do a few last minute things (i.e. strip sheets, take out trash, etc).Highly recommend staying here though! Great value! We will come again for sure if/when it's available.

This property was exactly as described, however, the noise from the upper floor was really bad. We had several toddlers and young children that stayed upstairs because the bunkbeds are in the upstairs unit. It was really loud each time they were moving around upstairs. If we had know we would have had the baby upstairs and some of the toddlers downstairs. Otherwise, the house and access to the beach were great. The kitchens were nicely stocked.

It was perfect for our large group. We had everything we needed and plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. For that I give the experience a 5* review. Location so nice next to the beach. Loved sitting on the deck for morning coffee. I would have appreciated bush trimming for the ocean view... We experienced rain and fog but the deck provided shelter and comfort. -1 star because of the view obstruction.

You are paying for the view and the location at this property. Older home with broken and aged appliances (dishwasher down stairs falls out of place when racks roll out; refrigerator ice/water dispenser broken; toaster broken). Visible wear and tear inside and out. Great view from upstairs. If renting the entire house, the only way to get upstairs is by going outside, no access inside.
