L'appartamento è piccolino ma ha tutto ciò che serve per una tappa in questa zona dell'isola. Il proprietario, Andreas, è molto organizzato e disponibile per supporto all'arrivo e per eventuali consigli sulla zona. All'arrivo abbiamo trovato un appartamento pulito e siamo state accolte con un dolce tipico cretese fatto in casa dalla mamma di Andreas, che vive al piano di sopra. Anche lei è molto carina e disponibile, anche se non parla l'inglese.
La casa si colloca un po' fuori dalla città di Heraklion, che è molto caotica specialmente per il traffico. Se non si hanno problemi alla guida, il centro è raggiungibile in meno 10 minuti di auto e sono poco distanti anche il Palazzo di Cnosso e alcune spiagge carine, come Lygaria. In pochi minuti a piedi, invece, si raggiunge il supermercato e la via principale, dove si possono trovare molti bar e ristoranti.
Purtroppo l'unico bagno della casa è cieco e poco ampio, quindi tende a trattenere molta umidità se più persone devono fare la doccia.
Un altro neo è che la casa si colloca in una zona con vie molto strette, dove è complicato trovare parcheggio e il rischio è che l'auto a noleggio possa subire dei danni.

Everything was excellent and we had a very pleasant stay. The owner’s mother lives upstairs and she was extremely kind and welcoming. When we arrived, she greeted us with homemade cakes, which was a lovely touch.
The property was very clean and comfortable. There are two double beds and a sofa bed, which worked perfectly for our family of five. We also found some children’s toys that we were able to take with us to the beach, and before leaving we added a few toys of our own for future guests with children.
There is a lovely small veranda in front of the house where you can sit peacefully and enjoy your morning coffee. The last bedroom also has access to a small open balcony, which was very nice.
We had no problems finding a parking space on the street during our entire stay. For exploring the city and the surrounding area, we would recommend renting a car, as it is the most convenient option.
Overall, we felt very comfortable here and would happily stay again.
There was honestly nothing we disliked. Everything was clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed for our family.
