We found black mold in the apartment and after one night we decided to leave. It was a heatl risk.

Before we first arrived, the host sent us a bunch of instructions and one of them was that she suggested that we kept all the windows open. When we got there, I don’t think they were all open so we opened them, but immediately when we walked in we could tell the apartment was very humid. Even the bedding felt kind of damp and the master room had a smell to it too. We just wanted to get in and go out for dinner so we didn’t notice anything else - besides a little problem with the shower turning cold out of nowhere but anyways. Next morning, we wake up and everyone’s feeling a little weird. My father who had slept in the master room woke up with an itchy throat and a headache, so he just got ready and got out of the apartment. My mom noticed that inside the wardrobe doors had some type of mold growing. My husband and I who slept in the other room, woke up sneezing and with watery eyes. We decided that morning that it wasn’t appropriate for us to stay there and the host came over to try to fix the shower but since all that happened that morning, we told her we would like to leave because we think there’s mold in the apartment. She denied everything saying that she has really good reviews, accused us of exaggerating and lying about our symptoms, asked if we have a medical certificate to show that we have such severe allergies, said something about being a lawyer… She kept denying that there was mold in the apartment and said that the wardrobe was “just dusty”. We didn’t get anywhere with her so we just decided to leave either way, it was a health risk for us to stay there another 4 nights. When we were packing up, we decided to go around looking for the mold and found a spot with black mold right behind the wardrobe in the master room, besides other little spots that looked like water infiltration/starting to grow mold. Even the fabric of the lamps and photo frame had mold as well.

amazing location

The location was amazing for two reasons: if you want to see the Sunday market in Rome, it is right outside the accommodation! The local train station is very close, and the tickets within Rome are only 1 euro.

The bedrooms were a little noisy during the night, but I knew this before booking. I did not have issues, but for light sleepers, I recommend bringing or buying earplugs.

Estaba un poco sucio tuve que coger la escoba y barrer, un olor impresionante a humedad o a encierro y de las ventanas de la habitación se escuche mucho ruido, salen bichos pequeños por todas partes. Está bien solo por salir del paso pero para lo que se paga se espera algo mejor.
