(5BR/4.5BA,2K,1Q,6Tw,SL10, 2 golf carts, Sunday Turn in Peak Season, CHECK OUT 10:00AM / CHECK IN 5:30PM) Mystical Marsh embraces nature’s majesty and provides discerning vacationers the chance to truly get away from it all. Located in the very private Middle Island community of Bald Head, this five-bedroom, 4.5 bath residence, hugged by live oaks and palms, spotlights awe-inspiring Bald Head Creek and Marsh vistas. Outside, Mystical Marsh proffers a front rocking-chair porch and a screened porch, two ground-level decks, two back open porches and a rooftop/second floor deck-all perfect for estuary observation or peaceful moments enjoying whispering breezes, sea air and the Island's peaceful calm. Inside, the home’s open floor plan and proliferation of windows take full advantage of light and nature's gorgeous tableaus. The living area is surrounded by a huge boxed bay set of windows. It is anchored by a decorative granite-faced fireplace and offers a comfy setting for conversation as well as game-playing or movie-watching. Adjacent, the dining space features a very large farm table which easily accommodates ten. Beyond, the breakfast bar offers another four seats. The kitchen boasts stainless Jenn-Air appliances, a wine cooler and plenty of granite counter space for prepping delicious snacks. The first floor also includes a powder room and the King Primary suite with its own sitting area, private porch and ensuite with a jetted tub. The home’s second level is accessible by both a front and back stairs. Up the back stairs, you’ll find a bunk room with two Twin bunks and a day bed. Beyond, up three steps, is a King bedroom with vaulted ceilings and covetous views. These share a nearby full bath featuring a walk-in shower. Down the hall are a day bed (offering additional sleeping space) and another vaulted bedroom. The latter is furnished with Twin beds and delivers more spectacular marsh views. Across the hall is still another full bath with a tub/shower. The balcony tenders an office alcove-a great spot to get a little business done, if needed, and at the end of the hall is the upstairs Queen Owner Suite. Its location affords additional privacy. This chamber provides another ensuite with walk-in shower, a walk-in closet, access to a private porch and, of course, amazing creekscapes. This residence’s additional amenities include use of two golf carts, internet and an outdoor shower as well as a convenient location for going to nearby prestigious East Beach, the Shoals Club or the Conservancy. If you seek the magical quietude of Bald Head’s Marsh and Creek, you’ll find it when you vacation at BHI’s Mystical Marsh! We absolutely loved this home! 8 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us! The marsh views are magnificent from every room in the home. We used the chefs kitchen each night and appreciated how well equipped it was! We can’t wait to come back next year!!

Amazing architectural house with excellent amenities and every gadget you can imagine both inside (blender, food processor, robot vac, Dyson, etc.) and out (kites, boogy boards, bikes, beach chairs, Shiboomi, outdoor fridge, etc.)! Views over the marsh are unparalleled and the wildlife viewing is superb!! The only drawback is the complete lack of closets and hanging space. All closets except one are locked and there is nowhere to hang clothes (plus, only a handful of wire hangers). One would expect that a house of this calibre would offer its guests a place to hang clothes other than a hook on the back of a door. Overall this in an amazing home and we had the best time. We hope to be back again next year!!

Mystical Marsh is absolutely stunning! Our 2nd time to this home. We will be back if the owners are willing to share again next year!! Middle Island is an Oasis and the beach assess the very best!! Thank you!!!

We loved our stay at Mystic Marsh. We loved Middle Island. The home was perfect for us, well furnished and stocked with the essentials. Lots of spices and even an herb garden to cook with. The bikes were a plus and well used. Lots of beach toys, boogie boards, etc. The view from the back deck is the best!! NO complaints and will likely come back. Here is some (small stuff) feedback that you may want to address: Would have liked a few more beach chairs. The two chairs on the front porch are rusted out and the blue one is broken. The kitchen sink faucet was a little funky to use and has a slow leak under the cabinet. Screen in screen door to rear deck needs attention. Gas grill needs upgrading, no grill brush and tank in garage is empty. (We had a flat tire while out in one of the carts and the WWP team response was outstanding. We were up and running in 20 minutes.) All in all, our WWP Experience and our Bald Head Island trip were excellent. Five stars all the way. Tom Utsey

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed Mystical Marsh and the tranquility of Middle Island. We own a home at the Hammocks and wanted to try MI--LOVE IT! The home is lovely and comfortable. We invited first-timer-BHI guests and they also enjoyed immensely! I would share that the downstairs master bed mattress needs consideration as it a bit ridged in the center and uneven sleeping. Otherwise, the home is amazing and we would love visiting again. MAny thanks!
