The owner was friendly and helpful. Access was easy and instructions were clear.
Just a few minutes walk from the old town and harbour.
The bed was comfortable and the shower was good.
The room was clean.
I didn't like the street. It was quiet, run down and covered in graffiti. As a solo woman, I wouldn't want to walk there after dark.
Only a small point but the owner didn't get back to me on gaining access to leave my bag despite telling me to message him when I was leaving the airport. I arrived at the hotel and couldn't get in. I messaged again and waited for a bit but ended up going for lunch with all my luggage which was a bit annoying.
It wouldn't put me off staying again though because other than that he was so helpful.

Fantastic house in the middle of Faro, without it being loud and surrounded by too many bars. The rooms are cute and comfortable, and the communication with the owners was super smooth.
There’s no dedicated parking so if you have a rental car you’ll have to park on the street. It wasn’t a huge issue because there’s always space in the evenings.

Very clean accommodation, nice rooftop, close to the town centre. Room 4 has a private bathroom, but outside at the end of the hallway. Room 3 and 5 share and external bathroom.
The bedroom was small, not a lot of space around the bed, only a small trolly fit on the floor. The first night the electricity went off, there were no emergency lights inside the house. Bernardo told us this happens often. To anticipate this, please get more lights so we can see something. With the other travellers we had nice conversations and a good vibe, we talked in the kitchen, but then we all got a text to be quiet. One night Bernardo came to us to tell us in person. We were talking on normal sound level, nothing crazy or extremely loud, still respectful of others. This felt a bit too strict and unnecessary. It's great if an accommodation has a friendly vibe and travellers actually say hi to each other.

- location was very central
- can’t thank Bernardo enough for how nice, helpful, and responsive he was. Really incredible service! We both really appreciated how much he went out of his way to help us with everything we asked for
- other guests also very kind and respectful
- extremely noisy all night (garbage trucks, people shouting, construction, horns honking, etc). I didn’t sleep for the three nights we were there (of course this isn’t the fault of the owner - the accommodation is facing a Main Street so windows closed, ear plugs in, nothing made a difference and we could hear all the noise outside)
- the space is too small for two people
- not much storage space for two people’s backpacks and items without us tripping over them because of lack of space
- we were in room #6, and the pictures of the place definitely made the room look bigger than it was
