Overpriced, poorly maintained, no attention to detail
Ideal location. Walkable to many restaurants, cafes, and the beach. There is a cute patio, but it does not provide any privacy as it's sitting on the intersection .
As a global traveler, this was one of my most disappointing and OVERPRICED stays ever.
The bathroom was disgusting. There is mold in the shower. The showerhead is not installed properly and sprays sideways and from the top. Wallpaper, paint, and trim is peeling off the walls and ceiling. The bathroom floors were also very squishy, making it feel like water was underneath. There was hair from previous guests stuck to the wall and very dusty baseboards. The shower was ridiculously small — like a shower on a boat.
There is little to no soundproofing in the unit. We could hear the guests upstairs walking around, flushing the toilet, and their dog whining. The HVAC unit is mounted on the side of the bedroom wall, which rattled the windows and wall.
The windows in the bedroom don't open and there are no fans, making for very stagnant and humid air.
The house rule book asks guests to dispose of seafood in the city sidewalk garbage cans. And the garbage cans on the street have large stickers mentioning a $300 fine for disposing of household waste.
The space felt very cheap, like it was thrown together in a hurry — certainly not worth $4K for a seven night stay. A few examples: most curtains didn't close completely, the blinds didn't fit the windows well and let a lot of light into the bedrooms, there were screws poking through the kitchen cabinets.
A major deep cleaning is needed — there was lots of dust in the bathroom, livingroom, and bedrooms.
