Adoro questa struttura, con spiaggia privata e immersa nel verde. Unica pecca la bassa marea che impedisce agli ospiti di arrivare con i taxi boat al residence.

A slice of paradise just like in the movies. The crystal clear waters and pristine beach, being transported to a desert island by longboat and then greeted on arrival with a cooling glass of tea and cooling towels was an extra special touch. The place is, simply, jaw dropping even the most seasoned traveller would be hard pushed not to ‘wow’ when they arrive.
We stayed in a beach facing tree house with a few short steps up from the beach. The room was very clean and beautifully presented with a four poster bed, mosquito nets, swan arranged towels, nice bedding, good sized shower and ornate sink. Air conditioning could have been stronger but it certainly helped at least it worked. Kettle and cups in room, also a cheap mini bar with all your essentials: large bottles of water, soft drinks, beer and a couple of chocolate bars. The hammock outside was so relaxing to lie on and doze off to the sound of the waves. There was some longboat noise but it didn’t bother us at all.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and carried our heavy bags on and off the longboat and into the room for which we are extremely grateful (it was not our intention to travel so heavily but unavoidable due to our increased schedule). The restaurant serves nice food and very good smoothies (coconut and also lychee and dragonfruit all lovely). They also have a massage hut overlooking the beautiful beach and reception will happily book any excursions and transfers for you. All you need for a relaxing break, but just a couple of things to be aware of, see below…
This is not a place for the mobility impaired, sadly. In order to disembark the longboat you must climb up, lift your leg and body across and then manoeuvre off directly into the water (shallow). This will be problematic if you have mobility issues although the staff do try their best to help.
We stayed in a room at the lower level. This still had some steps to climb up and some tree roots to navigate and I noticed most of the rooms were set higher up the hill.
The air conditioning was just about adequate, but could do with being stronger. I also wonder whether they could introduce aircon or a fan to the outside verandahs too? That would make it more comfortable.
The bathroom had absolutely no storage yet there was plenty of space to install a small cabinet or shelves, that would also make for a more comfortable stay. Also, the sink in the bathroom is high and adult sized so I’m not sure how a child would use it.
This is nothing to do with the hotel, but the ferry crossing to PhiPhi itself takes 2 hours normal ferry and we found it quite uncomfortable, the speedboat is better at 1 hour and the reception at the hotel can arrange that for you if you ask them to (they are very helpful).

The resort was well worth the money, very quaint and beautiful beach to relax in and the lads who took our bags were so fantastic and hard working
The ladies at the front desk were quite unfriendly, and some confusion over ordering meals and drinks

The private beach
The room was absolutely not like in the pictures. I was so disappointed. Moreover we needed to walk a lot from the reception to the room. The room was so small.

The location and natural build.

Super plaża , kameralna i bez tłumu

great location, we felt close to nature, it was peaceful. great conditions for relaxation. beautiful beach, we saw monkeys every day. very close to long beach. The path to the city was not difficult, and we even liked it. nice welcome at the hotel with a drink and cold towel. Good breakfast. in the room there were toothbrushes, pajamas, flip-flops, slippers, a flashlight... and much more, it was wonderful.
many abandoned and destroyed villas in the area

Beautiful beach in a private cove. View from the room was amazing. Beds were super comfortable as was the hammocks. Apple arrange a fanatic snorkeling trip and male members of staff were fantastic.
It's not a place to stay if you're older or have small children. It's a jungle trek to get anywhere, although this was fun at first! Restaurant lets it down. Breakfast was poor and food is below average for what you expect in Thailand. 2 bed villa was beautiful but rooms were separate.

Huge rooms, huge bathrooms! Amazing food in the restaurant, friendly stuff, massage on the beach with great seaview. Highly recommend! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Will definitely come back.
A bit confusing with the description of the two bedroom suite. It's literally 2 individual rooms at each end of the villa. Not suitable for family with young kids. We ended up sleeping in one room. But in general our stay was amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - friendly staff, plenty of peace and privacy yet rooms delivered to a high standard.
Be prepared to do some walking - the round trip to town is a bit of a hike but small price to pay for the tranquillity of the resort.

Breakfast was good and changed each day. Was a really nice place and will stay again

The resort offered a very authentic experience - just as we had envisaged it. We had a 2 bedroom Makai with a big terrace with a nice sea view and hammocks, and perfect when traveling with teenagers as they had their own unit just beside ours. The bathrooms were spacious and really nice, and bed was comfortable. We walked back and forth to the village from the resort and thought it was a nice walk. The resort has two nice beaches, and we enjoyed swimming there. The hotel assisted with booking ferry tickets for our return and all logistics were handled really well.
Since it is situated in the “jungle” there are some bugs/mosquitoes, but not more than expected. The resort is not so well suited for very small children and elderly people.

The resort is beautiful, the beach is great. The walk into town isn’t that long - it’s about 15 minutes. You can’t do it in the dark and if you had really bad knees we wouldn’t recommend but we liked it. It’s worth it for the location.
Try and get a room that’s not close to the reception, not not really far away.
For the location and (essentially) private beach everything that might otherwise be annoying is worth it. We would stay here again.
The staff need a better manager - it’s a bit chaotic sometimes and they can come off as unhelpful.
The thing that annoyed us was breakfast starts late so if you’re going out in a day trip you will likely miss it and have to organise it yourself (this is annoying as you can’t just ‘duck’ to a shop).
It hasn’t been finished yet so there was some construction noises during the day but we couldn’t hear the tailboats from our room.

Lovely bungalows. Fully equipped and furnished. Very good restaurant and free longtail boat shuttle for checking in and out. 20 minutes walk to Tonsai on an easy trail along the beach. The bungalows face a very beautiful private beach. Breakfast 250 thb.

We love the natural surrounding, private-like beach, room decoration, the hammock on the balcony, the yummy breakfast (especially coconut pancake!) and helpful and friendly staff. Living in the Viking resort is like living in a paradise. Everything is beyond my expectation!
The wifi in our room was weak.

Amazing place to stay all the shacks are facing the ocean and super beautiful views tranquil and unique. Highly recommend.. don't be afraid to ask boats for hire to snorkel and take you to other islands
Nothing . Amazing

Beautiful location away from Phi Phi town but just a short, pretty walk away. Private beach with great snorkeling right off it! Staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was ok, but could have been better. Dinners were nice at the restaurant.

The top tier accommodation has very good views but you have to go up a lot of steps to get to it.
There weren't any comfortable chairs to sit in on the balcony, there were a couple of block wood stools, not nice for relaxing. There was nowhere to sit in the room apart from the bed.
There were no towel rails or hooks in the bathroom.
The Viking also charge more for a taxi boat than the hotel next door on Longbeach.

This time i did not like anything, pour customer service, pour food quality
This time i did not like anything. Very pour customer service at reception, the room they give me this time, same bookings like last year tho, however R13 is a room that should even be sold. 70% of the room surface is the bed, if you open your bags you need to jump to move around.
Super far away from the reception and from the group i brought in (when you walk and climb 5-7min with a 15kg backpack of photography equipment thats not very feasable) ,even asked at check in to have rooms somehow closed by for all of us, ofcourse not possible. When i wanted to speak with the manager, no one was available, not even a curtousy call after to see what happened, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, food is pour, u go thailand and tomyam soup doesnt really taste as tomyam like in Phuket or like Paradise Bungalows restaurant. This is where i eat all the time, much much better quality of the food, much lesser price than Vikings.
In fact i even rent a bungalow next door at Paradise Bungalows which is 10.000 times bigger better, everything was much better at Paradise Bungalows.
Beach is so smal if you wanna sunbathe, everyone from the lobby is staring at you, well obviously you are in their way to watch the view.
Never again in Vikings and will never bring people there!!! Shame i cant share the video to see the box, sorry the room.
Paradise Bungalows 7 stars for beautiful long sandy beach, food, drinks, room space, price point.

Loved the location! I have heard a lot of people don't love Phi Phi island if they stay in the town but I had an amazing time at Viking because of the location primarily. My "treehouse" was right on the water but surrounded by trees which made it feel extremely private. The sound of the waves and cicadas in the trees was so soothing when I was sitting in my hammock. The rooms were a bit "rustic" but fit the vibe of the place perfectly (wasn't a sterile, standard hotel room - it had character).
The food at the resort's restaurant was not very tasty. I ate only one meal here and then decided to eat all my other meals in town (only a 15 minute walk into town). Also - heads up if you book a trip from the hotel there will be an up charge since its a resort booking the experience for you (aka commission). I did a half day trip through the resort and it was 800 baht but someone else on the trip said he paid 400 baht in town. If you're on a tight budget Id suggest booking trips directly in town. If you want the ease of someone else planning it for you, the concierge at the resort works just fine.

The location very close to main land, beautiful beach in front, great massage with superb view. Room and bathroom was clean. Great wooden theme. Amazing breakfast. Great hammocks. Super friendly staff.
The manager tried to scam us with a day trip we booked. She told us it would be 4 hours and 3200₹, later to find out it was 3 hours and 2800₹, and she never informed anyone for our early booking, therefore we started 45' late.
She tried to help, and gave us free breakfast.

The rooms were really well decorated, the views were amazing, the private beach on a cove is perfect when’s high tide and the general ambience of the hotel is really nice. The staff is specially efficient on handling the luggage to and from your room (believe us in this is case is a big issue).
The accessibility inside the hotel mainly to the upper rooms can be problematic, sometimes you almost have to climb. The beach is dangerous on low tide because of the rocks, that represent a real danger of injury. Also on low tide the only boats operating, because of the rocks, are the ones from the hotel… it can land you in a tricky and dangerous situation. The breakfast was disappointing, with lack of variety and poor quality of the products.
