The apartment was near Spittalfields. It was had the basics but was smaller and noisier than expected.
The only downside was the traffic noise outside. The apartment windows overlook a very busy street. The first night we got there it felt like all the cars were blasting music and revving motorcycle engines as they drove by. It was so loud and hard to sleep. The next day was much better, I don't know if something was going on that night we arrived? I appreciated the hosts offer to reduce our fee for the second night but they haven't followed through with that offer. I have tried to contact them and they haven't answered. I will probably not use Booking.com again due to this experience. They shouldn't have offered a discount if they weren't going to follow through with it. Disappointing.

El ruido de la calle por la noche. Se escucha mucho todo, especialmente policía, ambulancias… que pasan a menudo.

It is a really good location near the train station there are nearby shops and places to eat nearby. The furniture was comfortable and basic amenities like shampoo, fruit juice and washing up supplies were provided.
The main light as you enter the flat did not work. The TV did not have a remote so we could not use the TV during our stay. An upstairs neighbour would play music loudly with heavy bass (enough to make the floor shake) through the day until approximately 8pm. Due to our sensitivity to the noise, we at one point considered paying extra money to stay in a hotel to avoid the stress. However, for those less sensitive to sound, it may be easier to overlook.

We liked the early self check in.
The location is fab.
The bed is comfortable.
The welcome gifts were extremely welcome, thank you.
It was clean and decorated very nicely. The flat has tea, coffee, condiments, well stocked kitchen, cleaning products and loo roll, lots of little extras.
It was very hot in London when we stayed and and the flat was extremely hot and doesn’t have aircon.
Luckily there is a stand up fan provided which helped with sleep and we didn’t spend much time there except showering and sleeping. The bathroom is functional but small. Toiletries and an abundance of loo roll supplied.
