Location is great if you are willing to come by metro. If using JR, the location is ok. If you're using JR Pass, it's probably best to cough up those extra 178 yen and bring suitcases by metro to Monzen-Nakacho station, but during normal everyday sightseeing just take a stroll to Etchūjima station to save some money.
The room we had was in traditional style, with futons, tatami mats and other style-appropriate stuff. This may be difficult for foreigners to use, so keep that in mind - I won't lower the "comfort" score for it, because any discomfort related to it is by design and it's exactly what you're signing up for. The amenities were bountiful - many kinds of cosmetics, slippers, and even some unexpected toys. The staff was very communicative and helpful (all communications were online) - even though we've never seen them in person, we never felt left alone with our questions.
Nothing is ever perfect, but most of my complaints would be about things that owners most likely can't improve upon - like a lack of an elevator, or a typically Japanese narrow corridor. Another problem for me was humidity, which makes clothes dry much longer than I'm used to, but that's not a lodging problem, it's a general problem of Japan itself, and the room does have AC with drying mode, so all possible steps to remedy the problem have been performed.
There was a bit of a problem with hot water - it would take 1-2 mins of running the hot water before it would actually become hot. Later during use the water pressure would fluctuate a bit, and with it the temperature would go from quite warm to just a little warm sometimes, but I've experienced it in many places in Japan before, so this may not be related to the room itself. I'm not sure.
If there is 1 thing the hosts could possibly improve would be an instruction for foreigners on how to properly use the room maybe? :)
Things like folding your futon, using sliding doors, ventilating properly, drying clothes, and other things that to locals are obvious, but for foreigners are not. Every day I kept thinking that somebody less informed could easily damage the room... Then again, if you decide to get a traditional room, better learn how to use it before you come, right?

建物は年季が入った感じでしたが、季節の飾りや気持ち良く過ごせるための工夫が感じられて良かったです。
シャワーの温水が出るまでにかなり時間がかかりました。
ただ、事前にわかっていればそれなりに心の準備が出来るので気にならないかと思います。

施設の周りに飲食店も多いのと、駅も近いのでとても移動しやすく便利でした
ティッシュペーパーを置いてほしいです
あと、これは仕方ないのかもしれませんが、部屋が少し古いにおいがします
