My stay was comfortable and my experience with PMI Travel was good. The property itself got the job done and was in a great location (Pacifica). The apartment is spacious and clean with a large TV and comfortable couch and beds. Walking distance to the beach and near Daly City for lots of good food! The kitchen was equipped with enough to get by for a short stay.

I originally booked this property in San Mateo to visit relatives in the area. Two days before check in I received a message saying the property was damaged by a previous guest and is no longer available. They offered an alternative AirBnb property in Pacifica. This is where I suddenly felt nervous. I realized that when I made the original booking, they had me do a “check in” process on their portal outside of Booking.com. On the platform, I paid a security deposit, entered my personal information, and they required an ID check. I was responding on the booking.com native message platform and texting the number that had texted me. When I called the number, I realized it was a Google Voice number. When I spoke to the person they said the booking could not be changed on booking.com but they are arranging the property on their end and I will receive confirmation or a call back shortly. Added suspicion. They finally confirmed that I was confirmed at the new property, but I was still nervous as anyone can type up “check in instructions” for a random address. Thankfully upon arrival the apartment was real and the access instructions let us in. Since I did not stay in the Mid-Century apartment, the following review of the property pertains to PMI Travel’s Pacifica property. This property was very much a “it gets the job done” property. It’s older so the kitchen fixings were a little rickety. The thermostat looks like it’s from the 60s and the panel is installed backwards so the numbers are reversed. It’s also central heating so we were only able to adjust the temperature, but not turn off the heating entirely. The exhaust fan was so loud it sounded like there was an animal in the vents. The shower was unique and required some tinkering to figure out how to switch from the faucet to the shower head. Additionally, the shower head adjustment didn’t seem to work so the water flow was like a mister at Disneyland. Again, it got the job done but wasn’t the most pleasant.
