Everything perfect, apart from the breakfast. Very nice location and very nice staff, particularly at the reception and the cleaning lady.
The breakfast was very lean. A bit more variety for the price would be good, including more fruits and maybe porridge or cereals and fresh bread. Also a nice classic/oldfashioned espresso machine would be a good fit.

We were pleasantly surprised to find ourself in a refurbished traditional village with rooms spread out along a street and hotel parking just above the village. We had our own little private garden, with steps down to the hotel pool and access to a larger communal garden and community room. It was very peaceful and beautiful, and the breakfast was good.
Information for guests could be more complete. For one, warning travellers not to take the left-turn going up a dirt road (which is the old road and requires 4x4)--it's marked "Volpaia", and Google Maps indicated it was the shortest route to the given address "Localitá Volpaia". I'd recommend choosing the parking lot as the final destination instead. Drivers should stay on the paved road all the way up to the public parking lot, which is an easy drive. Secondly, I'd recommend the hotel give recommendations for activities in the area, with eating recommendations and opening times (mid-week one or two of the three establishments close).

Very peaceful and picturesque property. The ideal Tuscan retreat with the most breathtaking views, peaceful, easy parking and a good selection of typical restaurants perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the Chianti region.
Unfortunately we visited during a heatwave and the air conditioning was not able to keep up with all the rooms. Our room got quite hot which made it difficult to have a good sleep. We did inform the staff and we were provided with some fans to help with the situation. Other than this, everything was good.
A car is necessary to access the property.
