Absolutely beautiful property and setting - the view as you walk down to the restaurant doesn’t look real! Stunning. The staff were lovely and helped us so much when we needed to find transport. The pool was great with a spectacular view, and the apartment was very comfortable, clean and had air conditioning.

The only issue we found was getting to and from the property without a car. There is a bus service to and from Siena, but it only stops at the hotel extremely early or not til the afternoon, which wasn’t helpful for checkout time. Instead we ended up paying an extortionate €90 for the 30-minute journey to the train station, so I’d highly recommend hiring a car! It would be great if the hotel could offer a shuttle or car from Siena for a bit of extra money on the room.

Beautiful accommodation with landmark views in a stunning location. Really nice breakfast.

This property is trading heavily on its landmark view, at the expense of attention to detail with facilities, and customer service. Ordinarily this might not matter but this property is charging a premium price and this was disappointing. We booked an apartment 6 months ago, but this accommodation was not available because the property was fully booked. Not my problem. The accommodation we were given appeared thrown together without attention to detail, with a broken fridge, makeshift extras fridge in the dining area. Many of the facilities listed by booking.com were missing or had not been provided, including microwave, kettle, tea and coffee welcome pack, kitchen welcome pack( washing up liquid, tea towel), TV ( not that we would have watched TV), satellite channels or safety deposit box. We had to ask for these to be provided several times as we became aware they were missing. Neither could we access our accommodation for two hours because coaches to the winery were blocking our access. These layers of poor service diminished what ought to have been a lovely experience.

LOCATION, castle history and hill top

Rooms.. small and stars to go with luggage. Breakfast no toaster and old bread .. not much variety.. at this money expected luxury but accomodation and brekkie was basic.

as we stayed for two nights we felt it would have been better if there was more dining facilities on the property . the breakfast was the same on both days .

We loved everything about this stay. The staff was amazing. Our room was Awesome! Breakfast was incredible, as was our Wine Tour! The Osteria on the property was also fantastic. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Tuscany!

What a fantastic place to stay! We booked an appartment which was huge with fantastic views over the Chianti hills. At night the silence was absolute - such a rarity these days. Breakfast was spectacular and enough for most of the rest of the day. Great location in the heart of Chianti with excellent quality wine. Thoroughly recommended

Nothing - everything was great

The location was stunning and staying in the castle was a great experience. The wine tour + tasting were also really good.

The room had coffee making facilities but no coffee. We phoned reception but were told they had run out. The new on site restaurant was a disappointment. The staff were scruffy unprofesional and had no interest. I tried to order more wine several times only to be kept waiting indefinitely when the restaurant was less than half full. Rather than stay for desert we left early.

it’s a castle in a beautiful area

there were some minor repairs needed to the ceiling of my room.

Apartment next to beautiful castle, amazing views out the window. Breakfast in the castle was great.

Apartment is very old but know that going in, there was a lot of rain, we had leaks and power outage. No candle or flash light while it was out. Shower did not get very warm.

the location, the breakfast and the little restaurant near “Osteria Meletto” was perfect! the building where the rooms are located and the garden is amazing.

only defect would be , it’s not recommended to have a late check in (after 15pm). the bath or our room was hnfortunaely not functioning right and the water was not getting off the tube easily. last and worst unfortunately is the thin walls, yiu hear every little thing going on in the next room.

We stayed in a bungalow. I specifically requested it. Although the bungalows are only for two persons, we asked if our son could sleep on the sofa. They immediately accepted our request. There was a little extra cost for the child's breakfast. I preferred the bungalow for the big patio, easy parking and closeness to the pool. There is one huge living area with open space kitchen (very well staked, big fridge with freezer on top -- and everything else one could need) and a big master bedroom. Big bathroom also. They even extended the sofa, that could easily accommodate two adults. We had a small Meleto wine bottle waiting for us. Really good wine (Meleto Chianti Classico from 2017). In the shop, same wine, big bottle, was a bit over our budget, so we settled for the 2018 edition. The near infinity pool view was a delight. I was considering blowing our 8 PM reservation in the Meleto Restaurant just to stay more in the warm water with that nice view. I would have regret it. We really enjoyed our dinner. We had Crostini's, Pici Pasta and Surprise Carbonarra accompanied by a glass of white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano, recommended by the maître d. It was a perfect ending for a pleasant day at the Castle. After a really good and comfy sleep comes the breakfast. Another delight. This time we were invited inside the Castle. Wonderful interiors, really good breakfast. The sweets were amazing, Another nice surprise was the organic blackberries juice and the Cappuccino was yummy. Too bad that they had no availability for at least another day :( Most probably we would come back. Soon...Very soon :)
