The person who met is (Irene?) was extraordinarily helpful and spent time working out the best way for us to get to the

Good location and all the facilities you’d need! Easy communication and comfortable bed.

Irene is a super nice host.

Clean, cozy with a great location and view.

10 / 10

Generous and accommodating host; a spotless and comfortable flat.

Irene went out of her way both at check-in and departure to make this as easy on me as possible. Very accommodating to schedule needs, etc. The flat is immaculate, and the host generously provides snacks, yogurt, water, coffee. The rainshower shower head with piping hot water was a delight. The bed incredibly comfortable. It's a small, spotless, perfectly located cozy flat to accommodate your exploration of this vibrant port city!

There was nothing I didn't like.

Beautiful apartment in a picturesque setting

Casa Medicea is a beautiful apartment in a great setting overlooking a canal in central Livorno and is about a 30 minute walk from the central train station. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped, although we were only there for one night and didn't do any cooking. I had a bit of trouble getting the hairdryer to work but managed after trying it in about four different sockets. Breakfast was quite simple and all pre-packed, but there was a selection of juices, yogurts and cakes/pastries. We found a good seafood restaurant, Osteria Del Mare, about 20 minutes walk away.

The only thing we didn't like was the area because, apart from the picturesque canals, there is really not very much there. If I was going to Livorno again I would probably stay further along the coast at the beach.
