Very Disappointing Stay

The garden is pleasant and has potential. The house itself is spacious and, despite being old, could be a charming place to stay if it were better maintained.

The property is poorly maintained and does not justify the high price we paid. The biggest issue was the heat. We stayed in July, and the house became unbearably hot. There is no air conditioning, so the only way to cool the rooms is by opening the windows. Unfortunately, this allows large numbers of very aggressive mosquitoes to enter, making it almost impossible to sleep. There are also insects throughout the house, especially in the ground-floor bathroom. A simple solution, such as installing insect screens on the windows, would greatly improve the situation, but none are fitted. Although four fans are provided, they are all of poor quality and do little to improve comfort. One of the bedrooms is especially problematic, with only a small ceiling window that opens just a tiny crack. The room has virtually no ventilation and becomes so hot and airless that it is difficult to stay inside for more than a few minutes. The equipment in the house is also disappointing. The televisions in the living room and two bedrooms are extremely small—about the size of a laptop screen—and of poor quality. During check-in, the host turned on one of the TVs and took a photo as proof that it was working. We found this unnecessary and rather humiliating, especially considering the low quality of the equipment. The outdoor area is also not well maintained. The garden is not properly groomed, and the barbecue equipment looked as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time. It was in such poor condition that we bought our own barbecue rather than use the one provided. The house being old is not the problem. The lack of maintenance, poor ventilation, outdated equipment, and overall lack of care are. With proper upkeep and a few basic improvements, this could be a pleasant place to stay. In its current condition, however, it offers poor value for money, and we would not recommend it.

Not an easy spot

outside patio really nice roomy enough 2 bathrooms kitchen was well stocked parking space

you have to climb up a large hills to get to property, not easily located on GOOGLE, TAXI drivers would not come to property for pick up no soap for laundry small amount of soap to hand wash dishes no towels for kitchen could not get heat past 20 degrees..looks like it was pre set Main floor shower has curtains, not shower doors, the floor is always wet only had one set of keys for 2 couples and would not cut another set

Le jardin magnifique, bien arboré et au calme. J'ai également apprécié que l'une des salles de bain soit directement dans la chambre (suite parentale)

Rien à vrai dire; je peux éventuellement souligner le fait qu'il n'y ait pas la climatisation dans le logement, mais il est toutefois très bien fourni en ventilateurs
