Nestled in Ninth Ward, this lovely house for $231 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. ***Please Note: As of April 3, 2024, the Chef Pass Bridge is closed for repairs. There is no estimated time of completion. Please reach out to us if you have any questions. With the detour, the drive into the city of New Orleans will increase by another 10-15 minutes.*** When you think of Louisiana, I'm sure the first thought you have is of the hustle and bustle of The French Quarter, Mid-City, and Downtown New Orleans. But what if I told you there was SO MUCH MORE just a short distance from the metro? Experience this cozy and updated waterfront home with private dock for fishing and crabbing with boat parking (the boat launch is just a few minutes down the road), less than a 30 minute drive to the center of New Orleans. Take in the waterfront view of Chef Menteur Pass from your second story view, complete with ample seating and porch swing. Once inside, you'll be greeted by warm natural light, high ceilings and hardwood floors. The open concept floor plan is the perfect setting for entertaining and gathering your friends and family. All the comforts of home are here, with special amenities including a flat screen TV in the living room and one additional guest room, reliable WiFi, kitchen with updated appliances, private dock, and covered boat parking. Watch sunsets, fish and crab on an Island between the Chef and Rigolets, this vacation rental lets you truly experience everything the area has to offer! From on-the-water fun to city exploration, all of NOLA's hot spots are within easy reach. Spend the day deep in the French Quarter, just 30 miles south, or stick close to home for boating, crabbing, barbecuing, and old-fashioned relaxing. Our bright and open space is the perfect setting for a mid-sized group or families looking to gather and create memories together! This 3 bedroom home can sleep up to 11 guests and the bedroom configurations are as follows: Bedroom 1: 1 Queen Bed Bedroom 2: 2 Queen Bed Bedroom 3: 1 Queen Beds, 1 Full, 1 Bunk Bed (1 Full on bottom and 1 Twin on top) with en suite bath Common Area: 1 Full bath The home is professionally cleaned prior to every stay and stocked with kitchen essentials, bathroom toiletries, linens and towels for your group. Upon acceptance of your reservation, you will receive a welcome letter containing all of the information you need to access the home and ensure your stay is a memorable one! If you have any additional questions, we are available at any time to assist. Important things to note: Though you have full access to the dock, we do not advise swimming, as the waves are strong in this area. Please read through House Rules for more information regarding safety and liability. **There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. *** 1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their airbnb profile. 2. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. 3.Clean towels are a provided amenity. Each guest listed through your reservation will receive 1 bath towel and 1 face towel. We are unable to fulfill requests for additional towels during the duration of your stay. Plan ahead while packing, please bring extra towels if you or any of your guests anticipate needing more. 3. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property. 5. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken. As of May 2022, Airbnb has specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from Airbnb. 6. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces. 7. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. 8. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100. 9. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly. 10. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space, we can possibly assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed. 14. Commercial video and photo shoots require prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given. 15. Message us for long term stays. 16. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV. 17. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested through Airbnb after your additional time has been approved. 18. We do not recommend drinking any water out of the faucet here. We will provide a water cooler and fresh ice for your stay. 19. For the safety of you and your guests, swimming off of the dock is NOT ALLOWED. Water is deep, and the currents can be strong. 20. A life jacket is required for any recreational water activities. 21. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee.  This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately. 22. Pets are allowed at this listing if they are included on the reservation and charged the pet fee and meet other requirements noted in the listing. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request.

We have never had another home that was so well stocked, accommodating, clean and updated- all we actually needed was our clothes! The home is beautiful and roomy. Crabbing off the dock was plentiful, and all the supplies were there for the crab boil. The owner is very kind and helpful.

I highly recommend this camp!!!!! It was the perfect place for anyone that likes to fish and enjoy wildlife. We caught plenty fish in the marsh surrounding the camp and plenty crabs with crab traps on the dock.

Senior trip for our son, he wanted a fishing destination. Fishing off the dock was very good, catfish, reds and black drum. Also, crab traps were already baited and we enjoyed a fine dinner a few nights of fresh fish and crab. Several marinas nearby for bait and charters. The home was wonderful. Bottles of water provided, AC worked perfectly, beds were comfortable, communication with David were prompt and detailed. Everything was perfect. We hope to be back soon. Thanks David!

Everywhere we travel and book vacation rentals, we love to stay on the water and this location was perfect. We were in town for a wedding which was near the French Quarter, but wanted to experience the areas outside of the hustle and bustle, being that we’ve been to New Orleans quite a few times. You can tell the area is going through a rebuilding phase but it is very peaceful out there. The house is plenty big for a larger group and is kid friendly but also suitable for couples, like us. We fished, caught some blue crabs, and even watched an alligator stroll by the dock. We were able to catch and clean right there under the house. Any cons I may have would be the cleanliness of the place. Seems like it was a rush cleanup job in between renters but we made due. But with that being said, I’d definitely rent this property out again.

Booked this place for a weekend trip with some friends. It was awesome. The location was great. It was easy to get to from the interstate, plenty of trailer room, stores about 10 miles away and boat launch with live shrimp right down the road. The pier was nice as I was able to leave the boat in the water. Once in the water it was a short drive into lake Borgne or the other way to the bridges by I10. We had pretty good luck fishing. Caught an array of different species big and small. The covered deck up top and the lower area was nice for hanging later in the day on into the evening. Place was clean and well maintained. Everything about this trip was easy and like it was supposed to be. Oh yeah and the sunsets from the deck are amazing. Highly recommend.
