Nestled in Saluda, this attractive house for $130 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. About this space: Enjoy your getaway to this small, historic town in a home that gives you a peaceful, relaxing yet functional visit. You will have access to a well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, streaming TV, high-speed wifi, adequate parking, and dry/locked storage for bikes or other equipment. Our home is located within walking distance of downtown Saluda, only a 10 minute drive to the zipline, hiking, and waterfalls. Twenty minutes to Hendersonville, and 45 minutes to Asheville. The space: Despite being in a small neighborhood there is a feeling of relaxing solitude. Amenities include a well equipped kitchen, comfy living room, an inviting sunroom, and a large open deck. There is a covered patio downstairs with a ceiling fan/light, swing, loveseat, table and chairs that is perfect for an outdoor after-dinner cocktail. A hammock lives in the garage which can easily be added to the patio area. You also have access to a second laundry room and dry, lockable bike storage in the garage. Guest access: Plenty of parking in front of the house and under the carport. We recommend not parking to the right of the carport during the fall when leaves, etc. are falling. The oak tree will bombard you/your vehicle with acorns. House access is via the coded door lock. Your code will be provided before your arrival. There will be instructions inside on how to access the garage. There is also ramp access for the main house if you prefer not to use the stairs. Other things to note: -Our home is in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We ask that guests please respect the neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum between 10:00PM and 6:00 AM. -We understand the investment many cyclists make with their bikes . Since area roads are so popular with the cycling community, we want you to be able to protect your investment. Feel free to use the garage to store your bikes. There are a couple of hooks in the garage for hanging and one under the carport for hosing off your bikes. Just clean off any mud or heavy debris first as to keep the garage clean for laundry use. Use the downstairs laundry area for heavily soiled clothing to avoid making a mess inside the house. Laundry soap is provided, and there is a hose on the downstairs patio to rinse off first if needed. -Important things to do upon arrival and departure are listed inside the house. -Please be mindful of energy usage. The rule on the HVAC is no higher than 68° in the heating months and no lower than 74° in the cooling months. Please reach out to us before making any thermostat changes. We have remote access and can make changes if the temperature is too uncomfortable. -No smoking or vaping on the deck, inside the house or garage. -No pets. -We use outdoor security cameras but no cameras indoors. -We have bears! They visit our cameras often. Make sure you don't leave any food in your cars and lock the doors. Bears are smart and can get in your vehicle. They also love to empty the trash bins at the bottom of the drivewayl. Please make sure the trash bin latches are secured or there will be a mess. We have other critters too, including skunks, so make sure the garage door is closed at night.
