Broomhead Cottages was one of the best and most thoughtfully hosted stays of our Scotland journey. The cottage was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, well lit, and equipped with everything we could reasonably need. It was also conveniently located near Dufftown and only about a 10-minute drive from Glenfiddich Distillery, making it an excellent base for exploring Speyside.
The hosts were outstanding before we even arrived. They answered our questions promptly, gave us detailed directions—including a helpful warning about the steep driveway—and accommodated our late arrival by preparing everything in advance and leaving the key ready for us. We were welcomed with a nip of Glenfiddich and packets of biscuits, which was a wonderful local touch.
The level of preparation was extraordinary. Every bed, including both the queen and twin beds, had fresh linens, and fresh towels were provided even though there were only two of us. The cottage had thoughtful tea supplies, milk already waiting in the refrigerator for my mother, an adapter plug in the kitchen, a bathroom mirror with a European-style socket, a heated towel rack, and excellent amenities throughout.
When I mentioned that laundry might be an issue during our journey, the host placed us in a cottage with laundry facilities. She even offered to tumble-dry our clothes in her own facilities if necessary, which went far beyond anything we expected.
Most impressively, when the host learned that I hadn’t bought the groceries needed to prepare breakfast before our scheduled whisky tastings, she went out of her way to deliver a fresh breakfast the following morning. That saved me from having to leave early, shop by myself, return, cook, and still get everyone ready in time. It was an exceptionally kind gesture that made an already excellent stay even more memorable.
Broomhead Cottages combines a spotless, comfortable, well-equipped property with hosts who genuinely care about their guests.
There is nothing we didn't like. This beautiful woman was the most amazing and accommodating hostess I think I've ever had in Booking anything anywhere where it was a private owner.

Quiet location with stunning view overlooking fields and valleys with Dufftown in the distance. Easy parking adjacent to the cottage which was comfortable and well equipped. Friendly and welcoming host.

Assis à la table du séjour salle à manger, la vue sur la vallée et les collines environnantes est imprenable, les vaches, veaux et taureaux venaient nous saluer le matin et le soir.
Situation du cottage plus que tranquille, il faut biensûr un véhicule ne serait-ce que pour faire quelques courses dans le village de Dufftown ou à Keith. Excursions à pied dans les environs possibles ( le petit train des distilleries n'est pas loin).
Différentes distilleries à visiter dans la région, le cottage cosy est une agréable base de départ.
La propriétaire est d'une gentillesse incroyable et a été aux petits soins avec nous suite à mon accident ( un bras cassé).
