We enjoyed staying at your darling blue house. This was our 6th stay in Lubec. The familiarity with the area is uppermost. Your lovely home was very comfortable and well decorated and user friendly. The closeness to the water was fantastic. Walking on the beach with the tide out, we found small rocks and sea glass. We definitely will be contacting you in the future for a chance to stay in your home. Tony and Judy Garofali

We love the Lubec area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rob and Jennifer’s lovely cottage. With the view of Johnson’s Bay and the beach access, we were content to spend time relaxing at our home away from home. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. We hope to return soon! The Halls

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our 4-night stay at the cottage and found the property to be exactly as advertised. The cottage has been beautifully renovated with modern updates, yet a balance between old and new has been wonderfully achieved. We cooked each evening and found the modern kitchen to contain all that we needed, and the grill on the deck was a nice bonus that we took advantage of. The late afternoon sun on the deck with a view out to the ocean made for a special setting to enjoy beverages after busy days exploring the area. At low tide we also walked along the beach in front of the cottage. The bedroom we used was upstairs, had a view of the ocean and was comfortable. The location was perfect for us. It is very close to town without being too close, thus providing for a quieter, private and relaxing experience. We had easy access to Lubec, Campobello Island, West Quoddy Head State Park, the Cutler Coast Public Lands, as well convenient access to the route to Eastport, Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge and other places where we hiked and explored along the coast. You cannot beat the location. Rob and Jennifer are wonderful hosts and we are so glad we booked their cottage for our stay in Lubec. They have a keen eye for style and comfort and we would definitely stay at the cottage on future trips way Downeast.

This is a comfortable, charming 1840s farmhouse that has been freshly and stylishly renovated from top to bottom. It has a very convenient kitchen with an island table for easy gathering at meal time. We enjoyed games and puzzles in the family gathering area. The parlor provided a quiet retreat for conversation or work at the convenient desk. The back deck table and chairs was relaxing with a water view. We loved the easy path and stairs down to the beach on Johnson Bay, which is great for sea glass and pottery. Great for kids. In addition to enjoying the house, the location is fantastic for touring Lubec and Campobello. The house is a two minute drive from the historic village and three minutes from the bridge to Campobello. West Quoddy Head Light is about 10 minutes away. The town has a very good grocery store, coffee shop (Narrow Escape), pizza place (Morano’s), several satisfying restaurants and eateries (Fisherman’s Wharf, Cohills, Water Street Tavern, Small Town Take Out), and a great library (especially for kids). The playground at the Lubec Elementary School (two minute drive) is exceptional and fun. Rob and Jennifer were responsive and helpful hosts. We loved staying at the charming, comfortable, fresh home, a convenient launching point to explore this peaceful, beautiful place. We will be back!

My family of 5 that includes 3 teenagers had a great time staying at the cottage! The house is clean and beautifully designed and decorated with a mix of modern touches while keeping to the roots of the time period of the cottage. The house has all the amenities one could need for their stay, including plenty of fluffy towels and beach towels. Even with two days of rain and fog, we were able to keep busy. Our favorites included sea glass collecting, Campobello Island, Downeast Whale Watching boat tour, and Monica’s Chocolate. Be aware of the restaurants. There aren’t many and the hours and days they are open are few and far between. We did struggle to find meals at times and ended up making grilled cheeses at the house. Overall, we enjoyed Lubec and the surrounding areas! PS…you may want to pack a sleeping mask as it’s the most eastern point, you get hit with the sun quite early. Even on foggy/rainy days it’s incredibly bright!
