Great price and location

Very basic but adequate. Fair for the price. 1 pillow each, thin bedspread with no blanket. Cigarette hole in the bedspread. Nice frog!

We had a great time at this hotel. Close to the beaches and on the main rode close to restaurants. Room was clean and presentable.

Place was clean and cozy. Perfect location for everything.

Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean. The bed was pretty comfortable and the only complaint we had is the bed spread looked like it was from the 80’s. Check in was quick and the front desk lady was very polite. Will definitely book here again.

The motel is nice, very clean, nicely updated, quiet and conveniently located close to the highway but also not far from the beach. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Heater did not work. Rooom whitout a blanket. We had a cold night

The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. However, the scent of Fabuloso cleaner was so intense, it permeated into my clothes and had me coughing a lot of the night. There was no toilet paper roll holder or hand soap. Although the property was supposedly completely renovated, you can see that wall damage was painted over. There are few choices to stay in Crystal Beach, so glad they were there, but the room was not worth the money I paid for a night.

Hotel is pretty cute on the outside. Rooms are VERY dated, but also very clean and reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable. Was too cold for the pool. Only complaint is how DARK the room was, a particular pet peeve of mine. Literally one lightbulb in the bedroom area and no lamps.

Came to the island for a wedding and when we walked into the room we thought it would be okay. Even though the large black trash bag out front of our room(which stayed there all weekend) should have rang a bell it was nothing fancy at all! Changed and left, came back that evening to find that our sheets had what looked like blood (not food) stains on them. My husband pulled the top comforter back to remove the sheets and the comforter as well had blood stains underneath it as well as the pilow cases. There was also dried noodles on the fitted sheet. There are no phones in the rooms and as late as it was no way to contact management. No remote for the tv and buttons did not work on the tv. Woke up to shower and there was no hot water and we were only given 2 of the smallest towels to share for 2 days. So after a cold shower went to blow dry hair and plugs did not work. I spoke with Management and they apologized of course and moved our rooms. This room was a little bigger and cleaner however plug ins in bathroom sink area didnt work again still no hot water even colder water with less water pressure. No coffee pots, no phones, no amenities what so ever! Terrible experience and would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Upon arrival checking in was very easy, lady at office was pleasant. I did have to return to get code to wifi (will address this later) This is an old building that has been updated and I was impressed that it looked as nice as it did. I found the king room to be spacious and clean. There are security lights at night that make going to and from car safe but they did not stay on long enough next morning when I got up to be on beach at sunrise. There are no phones n the room but my Verizon worked perfectly thank goodness because the internet didn’t work so great for me. The weather was in the low 80s and the ac worked fine plus there is an added fan on the wall.
Now I want to address some things that could use improvement or just need to be addressed. These are specific to my room on the second floor. Ad stated 40in tv which it was not pretty sure it was 32 in but still that was fine. There is not cable/satellite it is analog and will loose signal at times but there was still tv. There is no coffee maker but is a microwave and small fridge, but be careful mine froze everything overnight while on lowest setting. I guess my only complaints would be the large gap at the bottom of the door, I had to use one of the 2 towels in room to cover this because mosquitos would have taken over otherwise.
I would have no problem returning as long as not in peak season because prices do get very competitive as expected in a beach town.

This is an ok stay if your looking for inexpensive and don't mind an old repainted hotel. Beds we're comfortable and clean. A Resort It Is NOT! A 1970's era hotel.

The lady in the office was very nice . The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay

Reviews let me know this wasn't a 4/5 star hotel/motel. Desk staff was hardly available. At check out we were almost late for arrival to the cruise terminal due to no staff being available to return our room keys. We knocked on multiple personal residence doors at the property and we lucky to reach a family member of the maintenence man, that under his direction she took the keys and advised us that's all we needed to do. Maybe they can invest in a door key drop box. The room was ok at best,,tvs not working properly. We used cellphones and laptop's to watch streaming apps. It provided an inexpensive location to stay until ourv still date. I gave the benefit of the doubt based on other recent reviews and hoped that mentioned renovations would prove to be better than some reviews. This was not the case. If in desperation, this location would work for you if you don't mind the ferry ride back and forth to Galveston

I know that I don't come there to watch TV but can we please make sure that it works so that I can fall asleep at night

Although an older facility it has recently been given a freshening up. Walls painted etc. Beds were comfortable and room clean. Especially like the small refrigerator with a freezer. Pool deck was spacious and pool water was clear. Will stay again as overall it’s an adequate and clean hotel.

Came to this hotel for a mini vacation with my family. The only down side was the beds and pillows . I got NO sleep. Beds are rock hard and you can feel yourself laying on the springs in the bed . Pillows were also rock hard . Will be bringing my own pillows next time . Pool was fantastic . Check in and check out was easy .

There is no coffee or breakfast. There is a coffeemaker the office doors are locked. No answers the doorbell. Excuse, out on property, not true. They have honey buns in unopen boxes, you have to ask and wait. Have to walk to office to get ice and if the door is locked, you out of luck. False advertising.

The property was filthy, trash everywhere, loud Mexican music at the pool, and the AC did not work till 24 hours after my stay
3.0
Housekeeping ( man) walked into my room, on me while I was changing. Never had such a thing happen to me ever. I told the front desk when I checked out and all I got was an uncaring excuse. Hard to believe in this world how uncaring someone can be about personal privacy and space. Tv remote didn’t work and had to call front desk to get it replaced and again, was treated as if it was a burden to help us. I guess when you’re one of the few motels available in the area, you can be super complacent and have no real concern for your guests. No amnesties, like coffee in rooms, shampoo, hair dryers etc as in all motels. Very disappointing. Mattresses and pillows hard as a rock and very uncomfortable.
