We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Sonnenberg! It is located outside of the main part of Mürren (not a tourist-y location! :), in a sublimely serene meadow, with a stunning mountain backdrop. Chris, our host, made the stay even more fun with his sincere relatability, sense of humor, and authentic concern that we enjoyed our stay! We opted for the optional dinner, and were so glad we did, as it was very tasty and allowed us to interact with the other guests. Even though we only stayed one day, our experience will be a memory of Switzerland we will cherish for many years to come!

Hotel is located in a meadow above Murren. The lift provides access to a gravel trail down to the chalet. The lift closes at 5pm. There is a steep path up to the chalet from Murren for the hearty. This location provides exceptional views and the peaceful sound of cow bells. Stunning.
Having dinner in Murren requires a solid hike before bed.

The person managing the property went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. The views from the front patio of the hotel were beautiful—spent a lovely evening relaxing and enjoying the sunset.
