About this house rental
In the heart of Charleston, SC this home is conveniently located near everything the city has to offer. Minutes to historic downtown, and central to all beaches. This community was originally developed in the 1940's for our military men and women fighting in WWII. Casa Sol offers complimentary coffee and a well supplied kitchen with spices for the gourmet chef. The back yard is ready for a barbecue equipped with gas grill, picnic table, and fire pit. Sleeps 7 comfortably. Enjoy!!

Great house! We are a family of 5 and last minute my parents decided to stay with us. We went to Charleston for a baseball tournament at Shipyard (26-28 minutes away from the house) and the house was perfect. Everything in the kitchen worked except for the ice maker in the freezer but we used the ice treys and always had ice. With 7 people we did run low on silverware so I would recommend bringing plastic cutlery. Each room had a dresser or storage large enough to unpack clothes so you’re not living out of suitcases. The neighborhood was completely fine for us. There is a sweet family living next door with small boys who played outside constantly. Definitely a lower-income neighborhood but never once did we feel unsafe or unwelcome. One detail we really appreciated was no TVs in all the bedrooms. I know some families would want to have more TVs but we appreciated not having to police what our children had access to on numerous TVs. The only TV is in the living room and we like it that way! Overall a great house and when we come to Shipyard again with our youngest, I’m sure we’ll look this house up!

The listing was very deceiving. The location was questionable k; not a great neighborhood. The kitchen was not well equipped; there were only two knives, one coffee mug was chipped, there was no spatula to turn eggs or other breakfast items, etc. I would not stay again.
