Shoutout to the owner for being incredibly considerate in allowing me to rebook my dates after my flights from Cebu were canceled twice. She was truly kind, attentive, and very understanding throughout the whole situation. After the flight cancellation, I had just decided to take the ferry, and I felt very lucky that the accommodation is located right in front of the port; it was just a short walk after arrival, which made things very convenient. The check-in process was smooth, and there are several local food carinderias nearby with plenty of options to choose from. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. The bathroom is shared, but it was already expected and didn’t cause any issues. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free stay. Kudos to the host for the excellent hospitality - highly recommended!

We had an amazingly warm welcome by Maria and her sister Lalaine (who manages the cafe below the property).
The room is as described and as depicted on the pictures. It's a good option for the price. If you plan to stay longer, I would book Maria's room further out of the city as that one is more spacious, great value for money and you get the chance to meet the family as well as all their pets!
Maria and her sister showed us the whole town, took us to go for dinner and helped us a lot with finding our way further on the island. I will definitely be back and if I only need to stay for a night or even take a ferry in the middle of the night, I would stay in this apartment close to the ferry.
It gets a bit noisy in the early mornings as the port awakens so if you want it quieter, book her homestay a bit further outside of town. She'll gladly assist you with getting there / showing you around!
