About this condo rental
Situated in Key West, this charming condo for $439 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This condo has been beautifully renovated. Both bedrooms and the living room open onto a spacious 40 ft private balcony. There is a King Bed in the Master bedroom and 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom. 1800 Atlantic is directly on the Atlantic ocean in Key West, adjacent to Smathers Beach the City Beach with a variety of watersports activities available. The property itself features assigned secure parking spaces, 3 lighted tennis courts, one of which is the only clay court in Town. There are beautiful botanical gardens with picnic and BBQ areas. The Olympic size heated pool sits on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, There is also a 20 person bubbling Jacuzzi tub. There is also a sauna and small fitness center by the pool. High speed internet access.

The place was great. Loved the location and beach on site. The hot tub and heated pool were great. Only about ten minute drive to Duval St. However, I got no communication about how to check in. I messaged the host about how to check in and got no response. When we arrived luckily the office lady was really nice and helped me to get into the condo. She said she was not supposed to do that but was so nice to help us anyway. If it had not been for her we would have been stranded in the Keys with a 4 month old and 70 year old with no place to to stay.

My friends and I go on an scuba adventure every Veteran's Day weekend. This time we chose Key West and Toms Chicken Coop. We had an amazing time and the condo was outstanding. The view is awesome! The condo has lots of space and is super clean. We didn't use the pool area but it looked incredible. I would highly recommend this place.

Tom's Chicken Coop is a great place to stay. It's got an amazing view from the bedroom and balcony. The pool is awesome. The location is perfect, it's far enough away that it's quiet yet you can be kn duval in juat minutes. Plenty of towels for pool time. Would definitely go back for a stay here

The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. We had all the amenities that we needed. Ducal was a 5 minute Uber ride and Smathers beach was a 7 minute walk. A small grocery store was a 10 minute walk. My only complaint was the building itself needs some updating. Otherwise I would highly recommend.

This place was truly wonderful. It is HUGE. We wished we could live there. It has everything you could want. The pool was great. The only thing that was a little hard for me is that its down a long hallway and I have bad knees. However, it was close to the pool. Go. You'll have a great time.

This was our first trip to the keys and the location was perfect. The condo was very clean and was fully furnished with beach towels, chairs, tennis rackets and even coolers. Great spot for reasonable driving to all the top locations - within about 10 minutes you can be on Duvall or Mallory Sqaure. Highly recommend!

We chose this building and the Coop specifically due to the distance from downtown Key West and the owner's great description and photos. We liked the idea of the resort style view and setting, as well as the opportunity to be away from the craziness of Duval Street at night.
The owner Tom is a great communicator and we had several lengthy and friendly conversations in the weeks leading up to our trip. He provided numerous recommendations. The unit has everything you need and then some. Very large and comfortable. We did NOT need a car and took Uber everywhere. There is ZERO parking downtown and you just don't need a car. While on the eastern side of the island it is only 10 minutes to the downtown area. Most Uber drivers are accommodating and helpful. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals after a busy day, or just breakfast before you set out. Tom has remodeled both bathrooms and they are super nice. He has cable and high-speed Internet and we took our own Roku stick for TV down time.
We would definitely stay with Tom at the Coop again!

The Condo was spacious, and the description was exactly as it was described. Had a gorgeous view of the ocean from the balcony. The condo was very clean & comfortable. Our stay at Tom’s Chicken Coop was fantastic!! Everything looked exactly as he listed. The check in process was well laid out and easily understood. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything we needed and more. Tom also has a binder FULL of information that helped our stay be full of options.

This was our second year to rent the condo for my mom’s birthday (95 this year!), and still love the place. It is easy to get in and out of the parking lot, and the condo is in a great location on the island. We found the grocery stores easily, and there are many taxi services if you don’t want to park “downtown”. The condo has a great view of the sunrise, and is on the shady side in the afternoon (so we could sit outside - the condos on the other side are in full sun in the afternoon, so it’s a little bright).
Absolutely would recommend this place. We were 4 adults, but children would enjoy the pool, and the small bedroom.

This condo was exactly as described. It’s well stocked with everything you would need. It was nice to be on the quiet side of the island, we spent many hours relaxing on the giant balcony and it was nice to wake up and see the ocean. We used Uber and Lyft to get around and it was very convenient (longest ride was about 15 minutes) and the wait times were short (less the. 5 minutes 99% of the time). The pool was great and not crowded at all and everyone we met in the building was so nice. The morning we left a gentleman told us “come back and see us soon”. We can’t wait to go back. You will love staying at Tom’s Chicken Coop.

My husband and I loved staying at Tom's gorgeous property. Exactly as advertised, the view is incredible and the apartment itself has everything you could need for your getaway. It's close enough to Old Town that you can get there easily by bike (or a quick Lyft) but is still quiet at night and within walking distance to the island's best beach (Higgs). Would highly recomend this great place and we hope to be back soon!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. I felt like I was visiting a relatives place while they were out of town. The place felt so comfortable and had personality. We loved the great shower and separate bathtub, large kitchen, expansive balcony overlooking the pool and well landscaped courtyard, and opening our curtains every morning to the beautiful sunny view. Tom also provided plenty of kitchen utensils, a small pantry (happy to not have to buy salt and pepper), and soap and shampoo… the small things that made you feel invited and welcome.
The place is a bit of a bike ride to the downtown area but fine if you are an active adult. The pool was great.

We had an enjoyable time in this two bedroom condo. It was very clean and had all the conveniences of home. The location was quiet and peaceful and had plenty of chairs for the pool. It was a short drive to the Duval and any of the attractions.

We were delighted by this spacious luxury condo. We felt spoiled from the panoramic wraparound porch to the exquisite attention to detail. The amenities were amazing! A huge pool right next to the ocean and a roomy hot tub surrounded by lush landscaping. The location was prime for exploring Key West, yet it was peaceful and quiet at night. Note that if you drive an SUV or large vehicle parking in the garage may be challenging. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were beautiful and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked. Plus, you can’t beat laundry in the condo when you live at the beach and in the pool! We have stayed in many vacation rentals and were super impressed. This is next level. If we ever return to Key West, this is where we’d like to stay!

The Chicken Coop was great. Loved the amount of space and all the great things Tom put into the place. Very quiet complex - beautiful water views and easy to get anywhere on the island. It was immaculate and had lots of useful features. If you are planning to go to Key West I would highly recommend Tom’s Chicken coop and the 1800 Atlantic condos!

We had everything we needed (linens, beach towels, beach chairs, ice chests, the kitchen had pots, pans, dishes, we didn’t have to go by anything) which has NEVER happened in the many VRBO’s I’ve stayed at. The balcony was our favorite room in the house, LOL! Comfy chairs and AMAZING view of the beach and the pool. Tom was very communicative and so responsive via text, VRBO messages, etc. These CHICKS will definitely be back to stay in his coop!

Our condo was nice but their was excessive street noise late into the night and early in the morning. prior to arriving the property company told us that they were moving us to a different condo due to the remodeling and some noise. What they failed to tell us was that the majority of the property was being renovated and sounded like a war zone during the day. Their was a portapotty,construction equiptment and construction material interfering with the view of the ocean. We arrived on Saturday and noticed everything but didn't really allow it to run our pool experience which was enjoyable fornthe weekend. We attempted to go to the pool during the week but it was a horrible experience with dust from construction, excessive jackhammer and hammering noise. Not to metion the construction workers constantly staring at my wife and daughter. My wife went to office and complained and they told her we needed to take it up with the property management company. When I complained to the property management company, Julie told me we should do excursions during the day to avoid the construction around the pool area. I explained to her that lounging by the pool was what we planned to do during our vacation along with our excursions. If we would have been properly informed we would have never booked this property and stayed somewhere else. I informed Julie that we would not be giving them a good review, she told me to go ahead that they have already had several complaints about this property anyway. So as you can tell the property management company could careless about customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this property or property management company anyone.
