The location was absolutely perfect for staying in Barnard Castle. The castle itself as well as many visitors spots and the shops/bars were in easy walking distance
The trickiest bit was not being able to park very close to the property which has only pedestrian access

Waterloo cottage had everything we needed and was so very comfortable. The huge bed was next level comfort and the small enclosed garden was perfect for my husband and I and our dog. We saw a Hummingbird Hawk Moth on the purple flowers in the garden which was amazing.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Spacious and well equipped cottage for a long weekend. Lovely private courtyard area and just 1min easy walk from local shops, restaurants, and cheap car parking. Would stay again :-)
