About this house rental
Architecturally designed property offering indoor-outdoor living with stunning Mount Lofty views. Nestled on more than an acre of land, surrounded by lush gardens, old gum trees and abundance of native wildlife, the property offers privacy and seclusion for those seeking an escape from the demands of everyday life. The space
A peaceful and picturesque space with visually interesting areas to relax and take in the hills vistas from every room in the home due to extensive use of glass.
***BEDROOM 1***
Upstairs is the Master suite with a Queen bed, balcony, walk-in robe and sparkling ensuite bathroom. The room has a split system air-conditioner and ceiling fan for year round comfort.
***BEDROOMS 2 and 3 ***
Lower floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a Queen bed and another with a Double bed with a shared balcony. These bedrooms are serviced by a full bathroom on the same floor with an indulgent bath with garden views.
All the beds have linen supplied, with pillows, sheets, quilts & quilt cover and blanket to keep you nice and warm at night. There are portable fans/heaters available for both rooms.
***Office Space & Laundry***
Situated on lower floor is a private office with a door, with a comfortable chair and a desk. The same floor has a laundry with a brand new washing machine and a sink. There is an additional workspace adjacent the kitchen in case more than one person needs to work from home.
***Kitchen***
Situation on the ground floor is the immaculate modern kitchen overlooking the family living area, seamlessly flowing to the outdoor entertaining deck. Fully equipped with a Smeg induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, French door fridge, cutlery, cookware and all the essentials you will need for your stay.
***Living Area***
The ground floor has two living areas - one adjacent the Kitchen and other other larger open living and dining. Reconnect with nature, relax and enjoy your time overlooking the garden and the serene gum tree valley with beautiful mountain views.
***Garden and Deck***
Multiple undercover balcony spaces for you to enjoy nature and the hills lifestyle. Have a walk in garden or spend time siting on a bench outside reading your favorite book or why not pick some olives in season with the property fenced around by olive trees. There is an undercover patio/balcony with outdoor sitting.
***Bali Retreat Area***
Spend some time with yourself in this beautiful retreat area. Perfect for Yogis or Meditation lovers. Or just enjoy your own space, read a book or listen to birds whispering and soak some sun.

All the property is accessible except the shed next to the carport and the storage cupboard on the lower floor below the stairs.
Other things to note
The property is located up the hill on a valley facing south-east. Days when the wind picks up from the south-east, it can get quite windy, so it is important to keep the doors and windows tightly closed. Note that the garden pathways and stairs can become slippery especially during and after rain. Always wear protective footwear and fully covered clothing when in garden and outside.
Please note that the property is surrounded and often visited by native wildlife including but not limited to animals, birds, insects etc. that are harmless if left alone. As a guest, please be mindful of their presence and aware of your surroundings when outside. Do not leave food or food remains in the outside areas as it will attract animals specially possums during the night. If you would like to feed the birds, feel free to feed them the seeds placed in the patio area for them. Do not feed the birds anything other than the seeds.

This is a spacious house with tree lined, bird filled views from all rooms and lush gardens yoga mats for guests were a nice touch. Two lounges mean that couples/ family with teens can have plenty of space. The area is equally convenient by car for both city and Hills. The host is delightful and very helpful and communicative. However, we found the downstairs bedrooms very cold (we stayed in May) and whilst there were supposed to be blow heaters one was without its control and the other was not easily found. We actually bought a ceramic heater (refunded by host) so that should be there now and it’s effective to heat the room before bed but the room does not retain heat so if I wanted to sleep without the noise of the heater I often woke up cold in the night even with extra blankets. The house is perfectly livable it needs a bit of maintenance, linens and blankets and the the master walk in wardrobe are quite basic standard, the third bed has no hanging space there were a total of 10 hangers for a 3 bed house ( we bought and left ten more)and the kitchen is not as well equipped as many I’ve had in rentals - just about enough for basic cooking. The main problems we had was the noise of the Southern Express way below which is significant and especially audible in the downstairs bedrooms at night - lorries seem to use their exhaust brakes on the steep descent. Also the owners left personal items including food and underwear in the guest areas which we found rather distasteful.
