Simple beach living awaits you in this adorable, 3 bed, 2 bath home. Just 250 feet of gently rolling dunes lay between you and the beach. Home is a new listing on VRBO platform. See our 5 star reviews on another platform! Our home is in the remote 4WD area of Currituck County NC. Family friendly. Pet friendly. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of an Atlantic Boardwalk, this place is not for you. Come spend time with nature including our wild horses. Precious memories await you!! The space This ocean front cottage has been nestled in the dunes of North Swan Beach, Corolla NC for nearly 50 years. She has seen it all yet stands adorably firm against the elements. Sturdy, modern, clean, comfortable, private accommodations await you here. Beautiful views! Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Wild horses roam free and will occasionally visit you at the cottage. In fact, one of the newest additions to the Corolla Wild Horse herd was just born a few hundred yards from our home this spring. She has been in our yard and is adorable!! We are located off road in the 4-Wheel Drive area. Your vehicle must have 4WD or AWD with high enough clearance to get through soft sand. There are no paved roads here. Sit on the wrap around porch with your morning coffee or your evening drink and take in what nature has offered you. The pelicans will glide by. The osprey will fish. The dolphins will frolic. The songs of a content mockingbird may greet you throughout the day or even the romantic call of a whippoorwill in the evenings. Just a short 2-minute walk off of the front porch will have your toes in the water of the Atlantic Ocean. April through mid October the cottage is available for a minimum of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday. Mid October through March the cottage is available for a minimum of 3 nights. Off season check in days may vary based on your needs. The cottage is non-smoking. We are pet friendly and charge $100 for up to two dogs during your stay. Beach parking permits are required when parking at the water’s edge from the Friday before Memorial Day through mid September. We will provide you with that parking pass. The cottage is oceanfront so parking on the water’s edge is not necessary if you are traveling light for the day. When you do choose to put your coolers, chairs, boogie boards, etc. into your vehicle for the big beach day and you do park at the water’s edge, you will need that parking permit. Another beauty of your accommodations is that you are just a quick walk to the cottage for a bathroom break or a child’s nap. You will be able to see your vehicle from the comfort of the house. You do not need a parking permit to drive in the 4x4 area or park at our cottage. Sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, blankets and pillows are provided, gas grill w/propane provided, TV in all bedrooms and living room, Netflix, DVD players, and Wi-Fi. All homes in the 4x4 area are on individual wells. While the water here is 100% safe, clean, and reliable, it may not have that “city water” feel to it. Guests may wish to purchase bottled water for drinking purposes. We are on a good well with a good water conditioner so you will be in great shape with this house. Guest access Entire house is for the guests stay. Unlimited parking is available in the west yard. If you have a non-4WD vehicle, off beach parking is available at Corolla Parking for 100.00 for a week. The address is: 1221 Ponton Lane Corolla NC. Contact us for the phone number.

The property was great! Small but efficient. Everything we needed. The owner was very nice and available for any questions we had. Horses came right up to the house. Beautiful area. Definitely recommend.

The Littles have found it and they would love to share it with you. This cozy bungalow features ocean views from almost every room and a wrap-around porch nestled just over the dunes from the waters edge. I figure that from the couch at high tide I'm about 350 ft to the waves, an excellent place to read and enjoy coffee on a blusterey November day. Stop off for groceries and necessities as you drive up the island. Once you leave the pavement youll be hard pressed to go back. I just didn't want to leave. Ever. This is my family's second time as guests of the Littles and there is just something different. They love where they live and they want you to love it too. If you forgot anything at all just open a few cabinets, its probably already there. The home is outfitted in a way that is kind and thoughtful. This location is phenomenal and the hosts are even better.

From the great communication pre arrival, to John coming to escort us up thru high tide, to the cleanliness, to the comfort…all was perfect. The house was even better than the pictures portrayed. We had a fabulous time….and can’t wait to return!

This is one of the most special places we've ever stayed in (and we are all experienced world travelers). The location is beautiful and secluded yet accessible. We had both sunset and sunrise views over the dunes from a wraparound deck. Wild horses visited our property (you know it's a prime spot because the wild horse tours go by on nearby trails). The home was so comfortable and casual and everything you might want for your stay was included -- beachy decor, comfortable bedrooms with dune/ocean views, nice linens, completely equipped kitchen, beach chairs and even an outdoor warm shower!. John and Michelle are such great hosts - they are nearby and are so friendly but also give you as much privacy as you might want. A 4WD vehicle is a must but we had no trouble finding and renting one beforehand from TURO - and driving on the sand, especially to walks beyond the super-secluded Virginia border, is an incredible experience.

This small house was perfect for our small family. My wife and I traveled with our toddler and dog for a great beach vacation in the 4x4 area of Corolla. The house comes well equipped for cooking at home and boasts a great wrap around deck to soak in some evening sunsets over the ocean. Great communication with the owners and the house has some fun features like a nice outdoor shower, an extra fridge/freezer underneath, and nice tall deck chairs to watch the kiddo play in the sand or catch some of the famous wild horses that frequented the back of the house area.

Property was clean and decorated nicely. Driving on beach was new for us but awesome. The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Going to the beach was easy, just grab a chair that is provided, small cooler, and take a short walk over the dune! The owners live a driveway away and are very friendly and attentive.
