We had a really good stay at Hoodo Zoe. Overall, the apartment was comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The place is a great option for anyone looking for a relaxing stay away from the busy city atmosphere.
we were disappointed with the payment experience. We booked through Booking.com and paid by card at the time of booking. When we arrived, we were informed that the payment had only been held/guaranteed and that the actual settlement had to be made by cash or UPI. As international travellers, we did not have UPI, and we had already explained to the management that we wanted to pay by card using tap-and-pay.
Unfortunately, we were told that their card machine was not working. We needed some time to arrange an alternative payment method, which the management was aware of. Despite this, we received repeated WhatsApp messages asking for payment, including late at night even thought we were staying there for 11 days with 4 big luggage there is no chance we checkout without paying . The midnight messages were uncomfortable and made us feel guilty about staying without having settled the payment, even though the delay was not intentional and we were actively trying to find a way to pay.
We feel this payment issue should have been communicated more clearly before arrival, and guests should be given reasonable time to arrange payment when the property’s card facility is not working.
Apart from this issue, we had a good and peaceful stay and would recommend the property for anyone looking for a quiet environment.
