MEA HOTEL TRIER

Es handelt sich um eine Unterkunft ohne Rezeption oder weitere Hotelangebote. Die Zimmer befinden sich in einem Gebäude, welches auch von anderen Mitnutzern (Büros) genutzt wird. Es liegt super zentral mitten in der Stadt Trier, man ist sofort in der Innenstadt. Parkplätze etc. sind in unmittelbarer Nähe in einem Parkhaus zu finden (natürlich nicht ganz preiswert). Ein Frühstück wird nicht angeboten, wusste ich aber vorher und es ist auch kein Problem, da sich in der Nähe Cafes befinden, in denen man schön frühstücken kann. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist modern und offenbar noch recht neu. Es ist nachts sehr ruhig. Das Bett ist ein ziemlich hohes Boxspringbett, aber sehr bequem.

Nicht gefallen hat mir die "Badezimmer"-Lösung. Daher empfehle ich das Hotel auch nur Alleinreisenden oder man muss sich schon gut kennen. Die Toilette ist separat in einem kleinen Raum, allerdings ohne Waschbecken. Man betritt das Zimmer und hat dann rechts die Dusche, die sich im Zimmer befindet und daneben das Waschbecken. Steht man am Waschbecken, schaut man zwar in den Spiegel, aber dahinter ist direkt das Bett. Kommt man aus der Dusche, steht man eben auch im Zimmer. Mir kam das Zimmer selbst sehr klein vor, aber wenn man Dusche und Waschbecken mit zur Zimmergröße rechnet (was man offenbar gemacht hat, sonst käme man nicht auf die Größe), passt es wieder..... Die Lüfter sind extrem laut. Die Stühle im Zimmer sind nicht bequem, und ein Stuhl stand aus Platzgründen vor dem Kleiderschrank. Ist auch etwas lästig, ihn immer wegzurücken.

I had a pleasant stay in terms of comfort and location. The hotel is situated right in the center of Trier, making it incredibly easy to walk to all the main attractions. The room was spotlessly clean, featured a comfortable bed, and had thick blackout curtains that completely blocked out the morning light. It was also nice to have an electric kettle with tea provided, and the Wi-Fi connection worked flawlessly.

The hotel has no reception desk, which meant there was no one onsite to assist with questions or issues. This became a major problem during check-out when the automated system broke down. Another guest and I had to complete our check-out over the phone at the same time, and in German. Additionally, the check-out time is quite early at 10:00 AM. It would have been perfect if it were at 12:00 PM, or at least if they offered a luggage storage service so guests could explore the city unburdened after leaving the room. It would have been nice that the automated system could be in other languages, at least, in English. Overall, it is a clean and centrally located place, but the automated service definitely needs improvement.

Very central location that can be reached on foot or by bus from the station. It’s close to all the landmarks and many cafes and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and clean.

Everything was as expected. The bathroom shower is in the room so don’t expect a separate room. This was fine for our needs.

The location

- No employee. You have to get the keycard from a machine. This is not mentioned on the App which is kind of intransparent. Since no one is there, you don't have the possibility to 1) leave your bag at the reception when you check out and want to go somewhere first before leaving town 2) get help if anything goes wrong. - no refrigerator - not even one bottle of water provided - no rails to hang your clothes... - TV is very very slow-responsive. - WIFI blocked me from using WhatsApp - Bed lamp is broken - plug socket is broken - The bed sinks so extremely it's uncomfortable. - The wall is very thin. - The water pumps and the Badlüfter are very loud Overall, with this price but no staff, it does not feel fair. The price you pay is mainly for the location and cleaning.
