Friendly and welcoming host, lovely house with fully equipped kitchen and beautiful garden.
Initial access through owners front part of house to extension at rear with own access during stay through stepped back garden to unmade pathway so not easy with baby and buggy and not often able to park near property.
Shared bathroom window into hallway so able to see someone taking a shower
Small double bed and mattresses too firm for us so not comfortable

The location of this property was perfect for exploring the Surrounding area. It was the most beautiful house inside and out. I wanted somewhere with gentle character that we could relax in and enjoy as a family. The garden is beautiful I only wish we had more time to appreciate it’s peacefulness. the host Lou and Piers were so accommodating and helpful.and made us feel relaxed and very welcome.
Some of the mattresses were uncomfortable for some of us but that is just personal preference.

This property is very charming, fully equipped with everything you might need, and the hosts are warm and welcoming. It was cosy and comfortable, the beds were great and we all got an excellent night’s sleep.
Access is awkward, however, the hosts do their best to overcome this by inviting you to enter and exit via their side of the property when you first arrive and leave. Also whilst the garden is absolutely beautiful, any outdoor space is shared with the owners.

Location ideal for purpose of visit to Devon. Clean, comfortable spacious bedrooms
Good sized kitchen, plenty of seating
Advert shows Chain House from the road,this is not the actual accommodation. No mention of owners living on site and accommodation is actually an extension of their home.
Access to accommodation via a narrow back lane and through a gate into garden. Extremely limited parking, up to 100m from property, not idea for unloading luggage or small children.
Living space small if there were eight guests. Also permanent, slightly musty smell.
Advertised TV in each bedroom but none of them worked.
Only one full shower for eight guests, plus two hand held shower heads, not ideal. Also weird small window on the landing looking directly into bathroom/shower.
Privacy comprised by owners and their friends constantly walking past windows to work in/entertain in the
garden.
