This was a great hotel to stay. The staff were really lovely. Location excellent. Great breakfast. We stayed for 8 nights which usually makes you want to swap location. But not us. We really enjoyed being here and would definitely stay here next time we're in Kathmandu.
It's really easy to walk around this area and find places to explore.
The staff are very kind and really happy to help solve any issues you have. My example is needing a nail file and not being able to find one to buy. One of the staff got an excellent one really fast for me. One of many great memories of staying here.

The staff were honestly amazing. Always trying to help, whether that's at arrival, any queries during the stay or at checkout (they packed me breakfast as I was leaving early). One night some people on the same floor were having a party, so a member of staff very kindly offered to move me for the night to a higher floor so I could sleep well. I didn't even have to ask. I was also given a better room than I booked which was very kind of them
The windows weren't great at sound proofing in the deluxe double room I was staying in, so could occasionally hear road noises outside. But honestly besides that it was a lovely hotel. And amazing value for money

I initially booked Daali Hotel for just 4 nights, but loved it so much that I kept extending my stay!
What makes Daali so special is the people. Every member of staff is incredibly warm and welcoming and genuinely made me feel like family. From the conversations with the boys at reception, to Doma’s genuine care every morning at breakfast and Kanchan, the owner, always making sure I felt safe and looked after. They were all so generous with their suggestions and advice and made my time in Kathmandu even more special.
The rooms are cosy, beautifully designed and comfortable, and the location in Thamel is perfect for walking to cafés and restaurants. They also kindly stored my luggage while I went away, and coming back honestly felt like returning home.
I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I’m in Kathmandu. Couldn’t recommend Daali Hotel more highly!
