That each room has a private pool. The staff is always at your service when needed. The elephant feeding was good. The view was great.

The location is a bit away from the attractions. They definitely need shower curtains or a barrier cause the whole area gets wet. My child and I thought there would be more interaction with the friendly giants but it was just during feeding time.

The room was unbelievable and the elephants surrounding the property were simply a memory I will cherish forever.

I was initially completely taken by this hotel — the surroundings are stunning, and you notice the elephant feature immediately on arrival. The setting really is beautiful. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill at check-in. The receptionist was beyond rude and condescending, and both my partner and I felt judged and genuinely unwelcome from the outset. Once in the room, it was a different story. The room itself was utterly breathtaking — beautiful décor, outstanding facilities, and a gorgeous rooftop area. In terms of design and comfort, the hotel has so much potential. However, when we went to the restaurant for lunch, I ordered a brioche burger. On my third bite, I realised the bun was completely infested with ants (or very small insects). I called the waitress immediately, feeling shocked and disgusted. The burger was removed from the bill, but I was still charged for all other items. That evening, I felt unwell in the room. The following morning, we were due to check out at 12pm. At 11am, the same receptionist knocked on our door asking us to leave. I explained that I had been sick during the night and asked to pay for a late checkout until 1pm. Despite this, between 11am and 1pm, staff knocked on our door five times, repeatedly asking when we were leaving, which felt unnecessary and stressful. I contacted the owner of the hotel, a French national, who I unfortunately found unhelpful and quite rude. Her partner, who witnessed the situation, later tried to resolve matters. He apologised, offered complimentary cocktails by the pool, and waived the late checkout fee, which I appreciated. However, while I acknowledge his efforts, they do not negate the overall disappointment. With such a beautiful hotel, the standard of hospitality — particularly at reception — and the serious food hygiene issue let the experience down significantly.
