About this cabin rental

Situated in Anchorage, this charming cabin for $225 per night is a great option for your next vacation. There's plenty of space for the whole family at this serene, enchanting retreat nestled in the woods right by the famous fishing at Bird Creek and epic ocean view skiing at Girdwood. The cabin is located only 10 miles from Girdwood and half an hour from Anchorage. Bring your bikes and ride the Bird to Gird paved trail along the ocean or take it to Bird Creek to go fishing only 1 mile away. The road to the cabin connects directly to the Bird to Gird trail with a pedestrian tunnel under the highway. We've spent several months breathing new life into this quaint chalet so you can enjoy a relaxing getaway surrounded by trees, the ocean, and mountains. Whether you call Alaska home or you're just looking for a place to stay while visiting Alaska, our Bird Creek Chalet is the peaceful and cozy escape you're looking for. No Smoking or Vaping Indoors or near exterior doors. Please make sure to SHOWER BEFORE USING THE HOT TUB and remove makeup. Do not add any chemicals or shock. The downstairs remodel is finally finished and the downstairs living room with the 65" TV, Bar, Bedroom, Bathroom, and Laundry are all yours to enjoy! There is a neighbor about 50 yards away from the cabin on one side. Please be respectful. They are super nice. It is about a 1/2 mile dirt road to get there but its not in bad shape. It's plowed and not steep but we would recommend all wheel drive, 4 wheel drive, and snow tires for winter stays. Please put trash in the bear cans and do not leave trash bags outside as there are bears in the area as well as ravens that will make a mess of it. Upon checkout please start the dishwasher as well as a load of towels and sheets.

Our family was here 3 nights this past week & this truly lovely house was nestled into a winter wonderland. Though we were out and about… & spent little time at the house actually, we found it to have most everything we needed. We thought every bed in the place was wonderfully comfortable with plenty of nice bedding The kitchen needs more glasses and a real coffee pot would’ve been nice but there is a Keurig. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub but both it & the propane grill are nice touches. It is an easy 25 minute drive from Anchorage & 15 minutes or from Alyeska resort/skiing. Our only issue was cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen - which appeared to have been cleaned in haste & not much. We highly recommend this property -which is really nice for families.

It was amazing!! We booked this for the weekend because we just got back from college and needed a girls weekend. The property was very clean, gorgeous place to stay.

Was a very beautiful home to host an event in a very beautiful area. Unfortunately upon checking in, the place was not very clean at all (carpets just looked vacuumed). Owner was very accommodating, apologetic, and very communicative which was very appreciated. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

We had an amazing time in this place. The location is perfect to reconnect with the nature and your loved ones, plus the attention received from Russ was totally exceptional. Fully recommended and we hope to come back soon.
