We love everything about Abbeyside cottage and Kelso. We have made several return visits and Carolyn, the host, is lovely. We especially love the beautiful garden and have been lucky to see it in Spring, Summer and Autumn seasons and spend a lot of time in it as my husband suffers from ill health.
Absolutely nothing. It is a compact residence with everything you need. It is in close proximity to the beautiful shops and we can recommend eating out at the Ednam hotel and the Chinese carryout Kwans although it is so popular sometimes there's a waiting time but it is worth the wait.

We liked everything about Abbeyside Cottage. ๐๐๐๐๐
This Cottage is lovely and quiet, but located 2 or 3 minutes from the centre of Kelso, with everything the town has to offer. Excellent base for walking, cycling, fishing or golfing. Cycling in my case.
Cottage is finished to a high standard throughout and all on one level. No staircase to worry about...!!
Property host, Carolyn, is easy to contact, and answers any queries promptly and efficiently.
Everything to hand you would need for a quiet break, including washing machine and small freezer. Private parking on site, could not be closer to front door.
Parking like this is a huge bonus.

It is an absolute Work of Art, and a credit to the owners 'green fingered' skill and hard work. It quite simply has to be seen to be believed.
Our visit was in August 2026, and the weather was perfect for spending time in the garden. It was fantastic...!!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Abbeyside Cottage, and will definitely return soon. Quite simply superb in all respects..!! Thank you.
