Fantastic, spacious apartment in a charming and quieter area of Rome. Located close to Travestre and about a 20 minute walk to the main attractions. The apartment had great facilities, a kitchenette, washing machine, huge bed and great aircon. We had a really comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again!

If you're tired of overpriced tourist traps near the Colosseum and want to actually live Rome rather than just visit it, La Dolce Vita in Old Testaccio is your answer.
Testaccio is one of Rome's most authentic, lived-in neighborhoods - local markets, real trattorias, zero tour groups - and this apartment is located perfectly in it. Public transport connections are excellent, and virtually everything you'd want is within easy walking distance.
The apartment itself is beautifully designed - thoughtful, elegant, and genuinely comfortable. The bedroom is generously sized with a bed that made us question why we ever booked hotels, and storage space was plentiful (a detail most short-term rentals completely overlook). The bathroom is a genuine highlight: spacious, high-end finishes, and the kind of shower that makes mornings feel like a spa.
But what truly elevated the stay was Giulio. Responsive, warm, flexible, and attentive without being intrusive - exactly the kind of hosting that turns a good apartment into a memorable experience.
We left reluctantly and are already planning a return. Highly recommended for couples seeking comfort, character, and an authentic slice of Rome.

Great to be in an area which is very accessible to the old centre but not full of tourists. Lots of people walking their dogs or old people with their shopping buggies.
