The Artisan at Tuscan Village, Salem, NH, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Everything was beautifully set up. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms large.

No breakfast buffet, just a counter with premade fruit salads, other salads and pastries and coffee and tea.

Beautiful property in the surroundings and it’s so much fun

I didn’t like how anyone could go in the hotel to go to the rooftop bar

The hotel was in a great location. Plenty of food places around walking distance from shops right off highway. Staff was very helpful. If ever in the area would stay there again. The pool area was great too.

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like .

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent — plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to Canobie Lake Park, which was a major plus for our trip.

We booked through Booking.com and selected a corner queen room with a lake view. When we arrived, the hotel said they don’t differentiate views, even though we paid a higher rate for the lake view. Never received a refund for the difference. Housekeeping was poor. Dust covered most surfaces except the desk. We found candy wrappers beside the bed. Dirty underwear was left on the bathroom’s bottom rack. Housekeeping only made the beds once during our 3-night stay. We had to flag someone down for toilet paper. Most of the housekeeping staff didn’t speak English, which made communication difficult.They came in, took out trash, and folded towels on the TV stand — no vacuuming or real cleaning. Hard to consider this a 4-star hotel based on that experience.
