Our stay was amazing from before we even arrived; the owners sent copious information making it easy to find and access the cabin. We were so pleasantly surprised when they also mentioned in their welcome email that they include some breakfast foods in the fridge (especially since we forgot our bag of groceries at the previous accommodation)! More instructions were available at the house for heating, hot tub/sauna, wifi/tv, etc.
Even though I never met Ragna & Freyr in person, we really felt like they welcomed us into their home! It was the perfect mix of luxury and homey-ness. Everything was exactly as pictured, no surprises or disappointments. There is also a lovely guestbook full of notes and drawings from other guests, fun to read through some of other folks' adventures.
We didn't use the sauna, but had multiple soaks in the hot tub in our 2 night stay; tried to take a dip in the lake, but found the rocks a little slimy and slippery so just stuck to hot tub soaking. We didn't really plan on a Reykjavik this trip as we were focusing on quiet nature adventures, but since the cabin was so close, we decided to take a day trip just to experience a bit of city life too.
The only thing that was even slightly annoying was the bed being tucked into a 3-sided alcove - my partner has a CPAP machine, so needed to be on the outside to access the power socket, but I have some mobility issues, so it was a bit of a struggle to climb into the far side. Pretty niche issues though, and it certainly didn't ruin our stay!

It was a great stay! The host clearly communicated all the instructions even with photos. We had a very comfy bed, clean bathroom, hot tub(!), and a sauna. The kitchen was fully equipped with the exception of microwave and an oven, but an air fryer was provided. You nearest supermarket would be like 30-min drive.
You need some time to get used to Icelandic hot water :) On our last day though the water from the cold tap was also warm for some reason.

The location, hosts, comfort, facilities, etc. were great.
It used geothermal hot water so had an eggy smell.
