La struttura si trova vicinissima al centro di Funchal, in una zona tranquilla. L’accesso è facile e veloce. Il palazzo è fortunatamente dotato di ascensore. La nostra stanza aveva un arredamento un po’ antiquato ma bella e comoda. La casa in generale è molto grade e ha una terrazza e una vista pazzesche. Tutti i comfort sono disponibili, dal phon alla lavatrice. La cucina è a disposizione di tutti, con cestini personalizzati con il nome delle stanze per depositare le proprie cose. Negli spazi comuni si ha possibilità di conoscere e parlare con gli altri ospiti. Avevamo una macchina e non abbiamo avuto problemi a trovare parcheggio proprio intorno alla casa.

We loved the size of the property, the terrace was wonderful, views are amazing, location is very central. We really enjoyed how clean the space was and the shared area had amazing antique objects, so it was a lot to explore—amazing maps and wonderful art. We also really enjoyed the fact that one could use the kitchen.
Also, the host was very friendly and extremely helpful.
1) The wifi didn't work inside the room. There is, of course, plenty of space outside —but this is a common shared area—so it wasn't always possible to concentrate on work.
2) For elderly people, in case one is arriving with some difficulties in mobility, it will be hard to walk up the hill as the property requires one to climb up a more-or-less steep hill.

Exceptional Stay!
I had a fantastic stay at "A ver o mar"! The entire place was spotlessly clean, especially the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and having hassle-free laundry facilities made washing clothes super easy.
The large terrace was definitely a highlight—perfect for breakfast before a hike :) The location couldn't be better: very central and just a short walk to plenty of great restaurants and cafes. On top of all that, finding free parking right next to the property was a huge bonus.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and clean place to stay and work!

The terrace is spacious and has a nice view.
The location is also good.
The owner and staff were very hospitable and helping.
The sound insulation does not exist. We could hear sounds clearly from all directions.
In Booking it was mentioned that we have a private bathroom. Although this was true but the bathroom was outside the room and it was not mentioned on Booking. If I had to dress up for going to bathroom every time, it’s not private anymore. I discussed this with the owner and he told me that’s it’s a problem of Booking, he has mentioned it, but Booking is not showing it.
I messaged Booking support mid-travel. They meant to comeback to me in 24 hours which they did not. I am deeply disappointed at Booking, felt scammed and try to use alternative ways to book my accommodation in the future. It’s not acceptable that convey a customer that they are getting a huge discount on reservation for a property, while we were paying more than some hotels around us.
The place felt too empty. We only had the chance to meet and sit only with 2-3 people during our 6 days of staying.
There were bugs moving around in the kitchen and inside cabinets as well, on the first and second days of our stay. The owner told me that it’s a common problem at this time of the year because of humidity, but in any case it made us uncomfortable about using the kitchen.
Lastly, the property has a vintage style, it’s not a modern-vintage. Don’t let the photos on Booking misguides you.
Overall, the accommodation is good for short stays of one or two days, but I don’t suggest it more than that.
