We had 2 apartments for 3 days (nos 1&2) and both were great. Comfy bed, showers hot, little kitchens had all we needed. Fresh towels smelled good and spare blankets. Effective air con. We didn’t cook but made hot drinks with tiny kettle. Host Goce was attentive and helped us. The view is stunning. The lake is stunning. Extra surprise was free SUP which we used a lot. The best area of Ohrid is Varosh old town. These apartments are in old town. There was an egg swing chair on balcony to enjoy the view.
The parking place is at upper gate or at the apartment. We thought parking at apartment would be better but the streets are very small. Goce helped us in his car with our luggage up and down as it is a big hill. Leaving the car at the top was better for us.
Top tip. Ohrid is hilly and uneven pavements. No high heeled shoes needed. There are maybe 10-20 steps to these apartments. This was fine for us and good exercise. Being high up gives a good view.

The location is absolutely fantastic, one of the best things about the apartment. It is right by the lake and the pier, in the heart of the old town, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops and everything you need just a few steps away. It is a perfect location for exploring Ohrid on foot and enjoying the lakefront.
The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. He kindly offered us his own garage for parking, which was a great help in this area, and was very flexible with our check-out time. Paddle boards were also available for guests to use, although we didn't have the chance to try them. We really appreciated his hospitality.
Perhaps we have different expectations when it comes to cleanliness, but unfortunately this was the one aspect that did not match our otherwise very positive experience. There was an unpleasant smell in the apartment and the towels did not smell fresh, so we preferred to use our own. We also found hairs on the bedding and toilet seat, and there were quite a few insects inside, as well as insect marks on the walls. The bathroom is rather impractical, as water from the shower spreads over much of the floor.
