Very well appointed and clean property. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Short walk from the town centre, albeit up a steep hill (like most properties in Matlock). Some local facilities in the immediate vicinity, including a couple of nice tap rooms, a small pizzeria, and a sandwich bar. We would not hesitate to stay at Hygge House again.
The courtyard is small and hasn't got any views. Didn't matter to us as we were not planning to sit outside.

The house is immaculate, every room was so clean and beautifully decorated. There are two lovely bars in close proximity and the take away pizza place just over the road was fab. You can even take pizzas into the pubs to eat. It was a steep walk back up the hill from Matlock but it was doable. We had a lovely walk to Lumsdale Waterfall which was just 30 mins walk from the house
Nothing. Parking wasn’t particularly an issue given we were there at the weekend which was fine after 6pm on Friday for the rest of the weekend. It may be more difficult at other times but that Matlock!
