Lounge room was a great place to relax.
No instructions for how anything worked. A compendium with clear operating instructions for appliances, WiFi codes, what’s required at checkout, etc.

Fab location.
Layout good.
Accommodated 5 adults well with 3 toilets, 2 showers and a bathroom.
Room on the drive for our 2 cars.
The washing machine was a great facility as 2 of our party had been travelling and needed clean clothes.
Downstairs is a good, sociable space.
Spectacular views from the front of the house.
The owner was accommodating. I had to ring him for the key code as I hadn't received it by check in time.
The back garden and furniture would benefit from some attention and some of the inside furniture had seen better days.
Some of the drawers in the front bedroom were unusable.
I stripped the beds at the end of our stay and the protectors were stained. One bed didn't have a protective cover on.
The washing line wasn't usable and the clothes airers were broken so drying the clothes was a challenge.
All the bins were full to the brim.
Downstairs had a musty smell but there was a dirty mop under the stairs that we removed.

Everything
The smallest shower room is a bit tight but not enough to worry about. Maybe a sliding door would help. Maybe kitchen paper towel roll and an antibacterial kitchen spray

The house has stylish decor, is well equipped in terms of several bathrooms and TVs and is in a peaceful, green valley within walking distance of the centre of Conwy.
Sykes Cottages over complicated the check in. Instead of sending the check in key code details via the Booking.com messaging channel, as most individual and company hosts do, they insisted on me setting up an account on their portal which did not work. The owner and Sykes’ Helpline eventually gave me access 45 mins late, but this was an unnecessary and stressful complication. Also, the house lacked some basic supplies that other accommodation provide as standard - e.g. kitchen towel, washing up liquid, soap in each bathroom and good coffee. For the price, more attention needs to be paid to providing these welcome essentials.
