The Neighborhood: Santa Cruz, California, is a coastal town with a unique blend of natural beauty and vibrant culture. Known for its stunning beaches along West Cliff Drive, it's a paradise for sunbathers, surfers, and outdoor enthusiasts. It is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property. Getting Around: - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk + Main Beach (15 minute drive) - The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park (20 minute drive) - Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (25-30 minute drive) - The Mystery Spot (20 minute drive) - Capitola Village (5-10 minute drive) - Monterey Bay Aquarium (1 hour drive) - Nearest grocery store - Whole Foods, New Leaf, Safeway (5-10 minute drive) - Moran Lake Beach (5-10 minute walk) Other Things to Note: - We have landscapers, pest service, hot tub, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you. - TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels. - The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety. - We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). we had a great time - Two adults and one toddler upstairs; two adults and one toddler downstairs! we cooked nice meals in the kitchen, spent time at beach and on bikes with the kids, and in the hot tub after kid bedtimes! John was great to work with.

Our Friends for the Long Run group of women had a great stay here! Every year we travel for a half marathon. This may have been our best year yet! The house is perfect and has everything you could possibly want! The kitchen is perfect for a large group of cooks, and is well appointed down to the details (brand new sponges!). The living room accommodated everyone comfortably to enjoy happy hour with a sunset in the backround. The beach towels were warm and cozy, and the bath towels fluffy. Comfortable beds with nice sheets! We loved having access to a few wetsuits and boogie boards so we could all get in the ocean and play. Hot tub and outdoor shower were awesome. So many fun things to do we didn’t have time to ride bikes or sit by the outdoor fire. Owners were attentive and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Wish we could have stayed for a month!

Everything about this property is 5 stars. Great location, incredible accommodations, excellent communication with owners. The house is well stocked, kitchen has everything you need, large assortment of extras for guests to use. Beds were exactly as described. First class rental

My girlfriends and I just stayed at this house for the second year and we loved it! House is stylishly furnished with comfortable beds and lots of room for people to hang out without feeling crowded. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and supplies (extra thanks to John for remembering that we’d ask for additional Tupperware and ziplocs to be added to the kitchen after our last visit). House is clean, organized and well maintained. . We look forward to another trip next year. Thanks for sharing your house with us!

My husband’s birthday was this weekend and we did a couples trip with a few of our closest friends. John’s Santa Cruz beach rental was the perfect place for all of us! The house was so clean, had comfortable beds, fully stocked, and just a real treat! The location was amazing and the view of the beach from the top balcony was awesome. The backyard with the fire pit and hot tub was a real bonus. John was very easy to communicate with and his instructions were easy to follow. We hope to be able to say here again soon!! Thanks for the hospitality.

I set up a business retreat for four couples and of course you always want the best. I was overwhelmed with the location, cleanliness and overall layout of the home. It's walking distance to the beach, centrally located for bike paths, shopping and all conveniences. A short drive to Santa Cruz boardwalk and downtown. The owners have made it SO EASY to check in and out. They were there via text for any questions we had. We would highly recommned to our friends.

This was our second visit to this vacation rental and it’s was just as beautiful and relaxing as our first visit to this home. Very spacious, well equipped, and great location. The hot tub , bicycling, beach chairs, coolers, toys, everything you need to relax and enjoy your with family and/or friends is there. Can’t go wrong with this vacation home!

Perfect place for our family visit during Thanksgiving week - spacious modernized home with great location and lots of amenities. Owner was very thorough and easy to contact about everything. Highly recommended - we’ll be visiting again in several months.
