Skycure Apartments is a charming find in a fantastic location — walkable to almost everything, with great restaurants just steps away, including an outstanding Pho restaurant right across the street and Vi Que Kitchen nearby. Having a refrigerator and freezer was a genuine luxury: being able to pick up groceries and enjoy them at our own pace made the stay feel like a home rather than just a room. The apartment itself is large and well appointed. The kitchen is cute, and the shower is fantastic. Our flight got in too late for host Hang to meet us in person, but her instructions were clear and thorough and we got in without any trouble. Throughout our stay — including during our flight delay — communication with Hang was prompt, warm, and genuinely responsive. When we had questions about the AC or the automated toilet (a first for us!), her replies were nearly immediate. When our departure flight wasn't until 11:30pm on checkout day, we asked about extending our stay. Our apartment was booked, but Hang graciously arranged a room in one of their newer buildings without hesitation. I offered a few suggestions along the way, and she took every one of them to heart.

A couple of small recommendations for future guests arriving late: written instructions for the AC — it has a lot of controls — and a quick guide to the automated toilet would be helpful for first-timers. Both are things Hang would have walked us through in person had we arrived at a reasonable hour. Also, a longer comforter would be a welcome addition for taller guests.

Fantastic central location, within walking distance or short taxi journey to all the major District 1 attractions. Food and drinking places located at the bottom. Staff were so helpful and attentive. Property included a washing machine which was handy for our 3 week visit to Vietnam. Apartment was quiet at night and there was a nice little outdoor space too.

Everything was perfect for us. The room was the right size and included a small balcony, small kitchen with washing machine and toilet/shower. Living out of a backpack can be challenging so having enough room to empty everything out and sort through our bag is a huge plus. We had originally booked for 4 nights but due to plans changing we needed to be in HCM for an extra night. I messaged the property manager and they were able to extend but put us in another room in the building next door - this room was also great! Because we had already stayed in the other room we also received a discount on the next room for the night. They also kindly brought over something we had forgot in our first room, which was much appreciated. Communication via WhatsApp was 10/10. Replied quickly and answered all our questions and was very accommodating. They were always on hand to help and looked after our bags upon arrival (arrived at 7AM) and once we have checked out, our flight was later in the day. Location was great if you don’t mind walking at least 5-20mins to everything. You’re right at the end of 3 busy roads with lots of shopping, food and cafes, the coffee shops on the corners (Cong and Linh Coffee) were also great with Vietnamese coffee. They were always very busy in the evenings over the weekend full of locals, seemed like a very cool area! You’re about a 10 min walk from Bùi Viên Walking Street, which is an experience in itself but if you want a lively drink give it a go. Bén Thành Market was about a 10-15min walk from the apartments, another 10mins away from the market you can find the Saigon Centre and then another 10-15mins walk from the centre is the Apartment Cafes. But if you don’t want to walk, booking a Grab bike is super easy and cheap. Overall we loved the rooms, location and management. We will be recommending the apartments to anyone who stays in HCM. Not a massive issue but the safe code was provided by the property via WhatsApp’s. It would be nice if we could have chosen this ourselves as we had a lot of cash and other valuables. But we had no issues with this and never felt unsafe or unsure.
