About this house rental
Situate at the end of a cozy, wooded mountain community, Timber Ridge is a 2 bedroom 3 1/2 bathroom home is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, about 8.2miles from downtown Blowing Rock. The short, level driveway opens up to a private homestead with a large gravel parking area and a nice sloping cleared yard surrounded on three sides by explorable woodlands, opening up on the backside to incredible year-round long-range views.
The main floor has a wraparound deck, covered on one side and open on two sides, with a new hot tub and a gas grill. Inside, the great room offers soaring, vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, eco eco-friendly floors, and a stone wood-burning fireplace. The living room has a large HDTV with DirecTV programming and a BluRay player, comfortable L Sofa furniture, including a queen-size sleeper sofa. There are dining accommodations for up to seven (6) guests, and three (3) at the bar. The kitchen is upscale with granite countertops and newer appliances, a gas cooktop, and custom cabinets. The main floor's half bath/powder room has a one-of-a-kind, artisan, wood pedestal-style sink with a vintage copper faucet.
Locate at the main floor, the Master Bedroom, offers a King size Bed with white sheets provided, recessed lighting, fan, HDTV with DirecTV programming, custom bed side tables, dual wormy maple dressers, closet. 2 windows provide the room with natural light, sliding glass doors leading to the deck and the hot tub.
The second floor offer a Queen “Mini -Master “suite with ensuite private bathroom with a shower and tub. It has 3 large windows bringing natural light, making natural surroundings a part of the interior design, HDTV with DirecTV programming, custom bed side tables, dresser, closet, ceiling fan, and Eco-friendly oak floors.
Also on the second floor, there is a chaise lounge chair in the loft area, perfect for reading or knitting while enjoying the dramatic views. The loft has a mini office with a desk, light and office chair. In addition, there is single person red chair that opens to a single sleeper bed.
Continue up the spiral stairs from the loft to access the widow's peak, surrounded by windows, offering the highest views within miles on this side of the Parkway! The widow's peak, is ideal for enjoying the mountains and sunrises.
Downstairs boasts a large game room with a gas log fireplace, pool table, foosball table, two live-edge bars with bar stools, HDTV, a twin size bed that sleeps 2 and a not so comfortable futon that sleeps 1 and a third full bathroom with a live-edge, built-in dressing bench, and stand-up shower. A sliding glass door leads out to the yard to two sky chairs, and a breath-taking view of the Blue Ridge Mountain!!

Thank you, Peter for an amazing experience on a beautiful piece of God's glory! I brought my wife and daughter to Timber Ridge for a 4 day birthday / anniversary combo. The whole experience was spectacular! Smooth everything. Excellent communication with the host, Peter. He is kind, prompt, and super accommodating - a terrific host. The views are stunning with amazing layered mountain vistas not only from the awesome wrap-around deck, but also visible inside from the main floor living area, kitchen, dining area, second floor landing, and the "widow's peak"(my daughter's favorite). Morning views are glorious, and we enjoyed stargazing from the deck each night... breathtaking around the clock. The house/cabin is gorgeous, inside and out and was practically spotless. All of the beds were clean, fresh, and super comfortable with seemingly new mattresses and pillows throughout. Even the pullout couch on the main floor was comfortable. The hot tub was great! Clean and hot with different massaging jet arrangements for each seat, we used it daily. We didn't play much, but the pool table and fooseball table downstairs are nice, professional grade equipment. Check-in and check-out were easy peasy. The gravel road up to the property is clear and wide enough for two cars to pass. The only negative thing I can say about our trip here is that it was too short. We loved it and did not want to leave. Definitely will be booking with Peter again.

Doesn’t get any better than paradise on top of a mountain. Experience couldn’t have been any better & made Family memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend, as I know our Family will def be coming back again in the near future.

Timber Ridge is amazing. If you are questioning reserving it, stop questioning it. If you want a tranquil, relaxing cabin, this is it. You simply can’t beat it. Oh and the million dollar view description in the listing is actually a million dollar view.

Sadly, I would like to give this stay a 4 but there was a stink bug infestation and they were everywhere. They were even on the bed and crawling on people while they slept and all over the bathroom. It would have been nice to be alerted about this bf the stay bc we would have likely chosen somewhere else. The view was absolutely amazing as was the style of the house. Great little trail and outdoor area. The owner was very responsive when we asked to make the temperature warmer and he changed it for us right away. It was a great experience minus the bugs.
