Great location, modern but a bit noisy and a little tired inside

It’s a bit tired, laminate flooring coming up, walls very thin, you hear all your neighbours movements. As it was warm weather you need the windows open and the area is noisy from early morning. Fan provided is extremely noisy

Decent location, undermaintained room. Not worth the price this time of year.

Location was good, hosts were friendly over messages even if we never met them. Free wifi was passable and an appreciated addition, and the soundproofing in-between rooms was alright, we couldn't hear our neighbors unless we were in the corridor.

There were some issues with the floorboards, especially in the kitchen. A couple would slip and slide as you'd move around them - made even worse in the kitchen as we almost tripped and fell whilst cooking dinners, which could've led to severe injuries. Although this is out of the landlords control, there was some sewage works outside that often started at ungodly hours (once waking us up at 0200), so I would be wary of that when thinking of where to stay recently or regarding general roadworks in the area. The bedroom also had thick covers in July-August, after 2 heatwaves, which feels to me like poor planning regarding the room and the time of year, and we found ourselves sweating bullets trying to sleep. There were also cobwebs in the corners of the main room which didn't felt how unkempt we felt it was. Not worth the £553 I paid for the room at all.

Location & parking arrangement

On second floor & no view of either cathedral or river ~ obscured by trees . View was of a partially demolished building in the opposite side of the street. Noisy laminate flooring & in poor condition. Sheets on bed & duvet cover were flannelette & far too warm .
