Very chilled, quiet and cosy, would definitely return

Great location, easy access to a local canal walk, cosy, had everything you needed for a long weekend stay.

Nothing not to like! Our dining room table was broken but someone came up to us within a few hours to take it away and fix it - very quick and friendly service.

Dirty (cleanliness) and very disappointing.

The property had quality fixtures and fittings.

The lodge seemed as if it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, the blinds were thick with dust & cobwebs. A tea cup had red lipstick on, the towels were dirty. The on-suite shower was disgusting. I reported this on the first night and initially contact was good. However I was then told a guy called Eddie visited the site each night but failed to come and see us and offer an apology. The second morning there was no cold water. I was offered £100 as ‘gesture of goodwill’ but this has never materialised. So I have had to take this further and report to booking.com and my credit card. I have been blatantly ignored by the owners.
