This was in a great location for accessing the Liverpool ferry terminals and good value for our family of four but Wellasey is not a tourist spot. The general area is fine but don't expect pretty streets and locations, it's a little tired and run down. The house was on a quiet side street of other terraced houses and had obviously been done up quite recently but like the area, it's now a little tired in places such as the bathroom, but was spacious and had everything we wanted.
The sheets on one of the beds (front double) looked a little less clean than we would have liked but we were too tired after a very hot and very long journey to raise this with the host. They just looked a little grubby and not very inviting. Everywhere else was fine, but I wouldn't give it a 9.0, the rating listed when we booked it.

Mike was an excellent host and did everything to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Location very close to ferry at Birkenhead which was great and close to beach. Also very easy to get to main liverpool area through tunnel.

Well furnished, everything you need, a home away from home
Only thing missing - pegs! We used the washing machine, and the weather was glorious, would have been great to hang the clothes out
