Very unprofessional hosts

The washing machine and dryer were convenient. I liked the closeness to my son's house in Sunnyvale. There are some good appliances in the kitchen.

The entire stay has had issues. I was told I would be sent a message at 4pm with the door code, I had not received it by 5pm so I messaged to ask for it. They told me I was in unit 2 and gave me a code. I opened the door and there were suitcases and a person inside! Such bad security for that other tenant! I messaged again and was told I was in unit 4, upstairs, when I specifically booked a ground-floor unit. No apology was given for the wrong floor level. The door code followed shortly after and we entered. The unit looked nothing like the photos on the listing and was very grubby and run-down. The walls and floors are dirty and loads of the cabinets are zip-tied shut as the owner's property is in there. There is also a second refrigerator in the kitchen which is taped shut as the owner's goods are in there. There are signs everywhere saying 'this is the owner's, opening will count as a purchase'. The decor is very eclectic and not as stylish as the photos suggest. I messaged the owner and she didn't apologise, just asked if she could call over on Friday and see if we were comfortable! Totally unprofessional. The unit is so bright during the night, and your solution is to stick blackout curtains onto a strip of velcro stuck to the wall above the window. On our last day a huge parcel for the owner was delivered to the door and I had to sign for it, I advised the owner I was unhappy with this and they didn't apologise just asked for a picture of the parcel so they could know what had been delivered! Then they asked me to leave the parcel out so they could collect! Again, extremely unprofessional. The units in the complex are all very run-down, and would possibly be the worst in the street. I do not recommend this property at all, it is definitely not for the tech professionals.

The amenities were fantastic! As advertised, the AC was brand new and super quiet, which made for a great night's sleep. The free EV charging station and dedicated parking spot were also huge pluses for us.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. Everything exceeded our expectations.
