Beautiful setting, so close to town and just a short drive to the warrumbungles. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was nice and quiet

Basic but clean and comfortable sleeping 1-7 people Warrumbungle Mountain Motel is in a great location to explore the Warrumbungle National Park and 10mins drive from Coonabarabran and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. We were lucky to have clear skies and did some amazing stargazing from the field behind our room.

Perfect for over night stay comfortable big accommodating for the kids and dog it old but thats good great area to have a stretch kick the footy walk the dog it was cloudy before bed time so we woke up early to have a look at the sky out there it's beautiful lots of Stars a great view when it's not cloudy and the no phone reception was great!!
Camping there looks like it would be great as well
Make sure if your taking a pet double check that it's on the booking as well we selected pet accommodation only to find out after we booked that our pet wasn't on the Booking and had a fee of 15$ we were happy to pay the extra but it just caught us off guard and a few more coffee and sugars would be nice in the rooms and the showers need a bit of work just the taps aren't the greatest the kids couldn't work them properly a bit seized and bent and it was hard to keep warm go from warm to red hot in a instant without touching taps

The room was large and easily accommodates more people. I was in a room capable of sleeping 7 people (a double bed and 5 singles with two lots of double bunks). Being located away from town, the hotel is located in a very dark sky location and has a large open area suitable for star gazing. Wifi is provided through Starlink and is suitabel for streaming. The in-room television has apps and is set up fro streaming so you don't have to use your own device - just log in. Good kitchen with a large fridge.
The bathroom was showing signs of its age with mould on the ceiling but otherwise okay. The window curtains are not sufficiently dark and allow light to stream in early. I have both Telstra and Vodafone and could not get reception at the hotel - the motel wifi is essential for contact.
