Very quiet location on the edge of the village, with various archaeological sites - Medinet Habu temple, Colossi of Memnon, Ramesseum, and more - in walking distance.
Lovely roof terrace with a view over the mountains, and of the early balloon flights coming past.
It is right in the edge of the village, so shopping and eating are not ideal (we used the hotel restaurant a couple of times, and the tagines were very good).
